"Here." Matthew said looking at me with pitiful eyes. I looked down and smiled. Food.
"I know you probably don't want to be doing this. How are you? Since the gang fight." I asked and then opened my mouth. It was only two weeks ago. I'm still healing.
Matthew gently put in the spoon with vegetable soup into my mouth. The taste melted into my mouth.
"I need to control my anger. It gets out of hand, I had to be put down. You would of saw, if you didn't faint." Matthew teased looking down at his hands, they were still a bit bruised from where he beat up those kids.
"I'd rather not see that." It'll rehash memories I'd rather forget.
"I get it." He said giving me the last bite of the soup. The boys have been treating me kindly, I sort of don't want to go back. But I have to, as I learned this isn't always about me.
"Matthew." I asked after he wiped my face. My arms felt like stones, constantly weighing me down. I haven't been able to look in a mirror yet, so I don't know how bad the damage is.
"Yeah?" Matthew asked putting he bowl on the bed stand. I tried to find the right words to say but with his piercing stare, it felt weird.
"After everything is over. Will us, the guys, and I be able to hang out?" I asked feeling a blush crawl onto my face. Matthew sighed and put his large hands on his lap.
"To put it this way, you'd probably have to join our gang to hang out with us. Then you also have the issue with your gang and your-," he paused and tried to find the right word. "-relationship, with Dean. So if you join us, we'd have to fight them again."
"Again?" I asked confused, sitting up right. My hair fell into my face, it's growing to long.
"We're probably going to have another fight coming up, a big one."
"Why?" I asked confused. Didn't they just have one?
"To get Trey's girlfriend back. They want you back, so they want to do a swap." Matthew said, standing up and stretching.
"A swap?" I asked looking down. What happens if I don't want to go back? But I can't ask him that, they need Trey's girlfriend to be home. She's probably going through a lot worse than I. I'd be selfish to want to stay, wouldn't it? Would it be that selfish?
"Come on." Matthew said holding out his hand. I grabbed onto it with all my might and he did the rest of the work. My body became dependent on his for a bit but as we finished walking down all those stairs, I walked for myself.
"Thanks." I said smiling and looked at the basement. "What movie are we watching?"
Cameron looked over at me and smiled. "Look who's finally out of bed."
I laughed and walked over to the couch that none of them seem to like sitting on. Ace and Matthew were gone, along with Lucifer. And then I can't find Trey, so he is also gone. It's only Cameron, Aristotle, and Jesus, all dressed in black.
"We're not watching a movie actually, we're playing a video game." Aristotle said looking at me for a second then turned back to the tv. "Currently, I'm terminating this son of a b-"
"Bitch! That was my guy you blew up!" Cameron yelled throwing the remote on the ground. "I can never play with you! Jesus!"
"Yeah?" Jesus asked looking up from the knife he was fiddling. "Do I need to go steal something?"
