Wintr' POV

I woke up with a blasting headache sleeping next to everyone on the couch in our apartment.  Andrea was making breakfast for herself when I walked into the kitchen. "Hey Kid" She said as I sat at the table. "It's our last day here before we all separate until June" I muttered upset that I would be going back to my apartment in Edmonton to finish college. She nodded slowly and sighed. We were all upset since everyone was going separate ways for a year. Becca's going back to L.A,  Andrea's going to Dallas with her husband Jamie and Kathy is going to Ottawa. Becca came into the room with a bottle of advil, handed me one and handed Andy one. I gladly accepted one and grabbed my water off the counter. "I have an idea, how about since most of the girls went back home last night you, me, Kat and Becca go shopping for stuff we really don't need but we act like we do. We all love shopping guys come on. We deserve it!!" Andrea said standing up from her chair to grab her eggs off the pan. "Let me get rid of this damn headache and you got yourself a deal Andy" I said eating one of her eggs before grabbing my phone to text Kat to wake her up. "I texted Kat and she said she'll be here in 10. Get ready" We all separated into our rooms. I took off my clothes and replaced them with a Gaudreau jersey, jeans and converse.  I walked out of my room and into the kitchen again to find Andy on her phone already dressed as well in a Monahan jersey, leggings and high tops. "Let's go guys, Kat's in the lobby" Becca said walking in with a Edmonton Hall Jersey. Me and Andy started to gag. "Shut up idiots" We both started to laugh. "Edmon-Blah" Andy said as she picked up her keys, me laughing at her comment. Becca just rolled her eyes chuckling. We walked downstairs and into the lobby to see Kat sitting in a chair on her phone. She stood up and we walked out to my Camaro and drove to the mall.

At the Mall
I'm sitting in Starbucks with everyone talking about where everyone's going but I'm busy talking to two young fans and their mom and dad. "You're like the best hockey player ever" The one boy said hugging me tight. I laughed and thanked him. "Can you sign our jerseys" The other boy asked so sweetly. "Of course boys" I said smiling as one of them gave me a sharpie and they both turned around. I signed them both and put "such sweet fans, thanks for supporting Team Canada, Go Flames -Wintr Scarlet #4". Their parents and they thanked me and walked away. "Someone had some super fans eh" Becca said chuckling. "Haha, sweet boys, and ya super fans" I said sitting back down grabbing my phone. "The dad looked familiar" I said laughing to myself. "You're such an idiot, that was Cam Talbot" Becca said laughing. "Ew, I'm glad I didn't ask him cause I would gag" I said taking a sip of my drink while everyone else talked amongst themselves. Until my phone rang. "I'll be right back" I said and walked away pressing answer.          Convo

V - Hey, can you do me a big favor?!

W - Hello to you too, sure what's up?

V -  Please come to my baby shower!

W - oh god no, why me?!

V - come on pleaseeeeeee, I really want you there Snow

W - I won't go if I don't have a date because that'll be weird so no, i'm sorry

V - I'll make a deal with you, if you come, I'll buy you a new pair of hockey pads

W - Wait what? Really? Like dead ass for real?

V - Yes! just please come.

W - fine but it's gonna be weird going alone. When is it?

V -   September 22 from 12 to 3 but you're staying longer to help clean up

W - Let me write it down, so Septemeber 22nd.... wait, that's the day after I get back to Edmonton. I'll be so jetlagged.

V - please!! You were my maid of honor and now you're coming to my baby shower

W - fine but if I get a "date" then I leave at 3. Deal?

V - you've got yourself a deal Scarlett

W - alright I gotta go, I'll text you later

V - bye End Of Call

I tried to look over to see if the girls were still over there but a body blocked my view. I looked up to see a beautiful man with big lips and a hot smile. "Hey, I heard you need a date for an event?" I laughed and rolled my eyes.  "Eavesdropping much" I asked sipping my drink. "I may have been slightly listening, can I sit?" He asked motioning to the chair in front of me. I nodded and my phone dinged. It read have fun with Mr. Hall. He's a cutie....and an Oiler. We'll be at the food court. It was from Becca. I thought oh god, how can I leave without being rude. Before I could speak, he introduced himself. "By the way, I'm Tay-. I cut him off. "Taylor Hall, ya I know you" I said getting slightly annoyed at myself for liking....that. "A fan?" He asked obviously amused with himself and not seeing my jersey. "Nope. Actually, you're my rival" I said smiling menacingly. "Ah, Calgary? Eh? at least you're not my rival Ms. Scarlett" He said smiling making me blush and scoff trying to play hard to get. Obviously not working considering that I keep smiling. "You're like the best goalie out there....besides Talbot of course" He said smirking trying to get under my skin which is working. "Cam's GAA is worse than what mine was in my first year" I said tilting my head smiling trying not to choke the cutie with a tight shirt...shit. "You know, us Oilers aren't as bad as we seem" He said getting and from his seat and sliding into the booth next to me getting extremely close to me. "Don't you have like 3 girlfriends to tend to" I asked not amused by his seduction. "No, but about that Baby shower date" He whispered putting his forehead against mine and smiling. He was getting to me and I was liking it. Shit. "Ya about that" I said watching his beautiful plump lips latch onto mine. I immediately kissed back not regretting my decision. He slid his hand up to my back and pulled me into him deepening the kiss better. After about a minute, he slowly backed up. I bite and pulled his bottom lip in the process making him quietly moan and smirk. "So,  may I escort you and be your date to the baby shower Ms. Wintr" He asked so pleasantly while standing and bowing before me. I laughed and shrugged. "well why the hell not" I said smiling at the annoying yet charming oiler. Wow never thought I'd think that. "Can I get your number to get the details" He asked while getting his phone out. "Ya *** *** ****" I said as he typed away at his phone. "Alright, I'll see you later than Winno" He said winking and laughing. "Never say that again" I chuckled and shook my head. "haha, i gotta go, bye" He said kissing my cheek and walking away. The second he walked out the door, all the girls came running in. "We saw that Widow" Becca said using my old nickname from high school. "saw what" I asked trying to act innocent. "That little thing with the "edmonblah" Andy said giving me a disgusted look at the thought of Edmonton.  "I never knew you liked him Winny" Kat said laughing even though she hates both teams. "I mean have ya'll seen Lars Eller" She joked knowing I used to like and date him before we broke up because we didn't do good for a long distance relationship but we're good friends now. But I kiiiiinnnndddaaaa still like him just a little though. Sort of.  "Haha very funny. Can we just shop our hearts out since we're leaving each other tomorrow night" I asked spilling my coffee clean. "Definitely, I wish we could stay in Winnipeg forever. It's really beautiful here. Reminds me of home" Becca said and we nodded. "Alright girls, let's have some fun.

The rest of the day was spent having fun, spending quality time and just livin life.
