Prompt: Divided

Scotch

"This won't work" George said, looking up from the scotch he was currently drinking.

"Of course it will work" Will said from the bar stool next to him."Why wouldn't it? We've been working on this plan for months."

"That's exactly why it won't work" George exasperated "Those people have always been steps ahead of us and that;s why it wont work." George looked back down at his drink, his head dropping, hair still wet from his run in the rain to get to the bar. It was almost perfectly silent minus the pitter patter of rain outside, which was the only sound you could hear.

"What is going on with you" Will finally asked in a concerned voice.

George let out a dark humorless laugh and downed the rest of his scotch. "Oh so much. Im just being honest." He looked at Will's worried blue eyes. "We will lose, nothing else to it."

Will reached out his hand, but it was quickly knocked away

"Dont" George sternly spoke

"George.." Will said reaching out once more.

"I SAID DONT" George screamed while spilling Will's drink all over his partner.

George eyes widened and he quickly put on the hood of his pullover. "I'm.. I'm... I gotta go" he stuttered out while throwing down money for his drink.

"George wait-" but it was cut off by the slamming of the bar door.

Will sat in silence, looking at the spilled beer on his shirt which was all that remained of his lover. So Will looked out the window at the stormy city streets and planned.
