The wind blows in the direction of the sea, but look closely to the clouds,

and you will see something magical -

Faeries inhabit The Skye in five clans,

they trade and mingle with each other, and occasionally a faerie visits the Land.

One simple rule, they had, and every faery knew by heart,

A faerie's name is sacred, and no human ought to have this knowledge,

Why - they had evil intentions, the humans, and imagine the misery they would cause

a winged creature if they could summon it.

So

they Skye lived, faeries in harmony,

the Seelie, with Chief Drakin, Holder of the Autumn Staff,

ensured the peace was conserved. Their territory attracted the

Cardinal Bird, and so it was a unique feature.

The Changelings, what unique creatures,

with the only woman leader, Lady Roop held the Droplet Staff

more firmly than any man.

And her feline eyes were blind to deception, because her clan were mishcief makers indeed,

with the power of any organism buzzing in their chromosomes,

they were highly untrustworthy, and notorious for fool's gold, faery gold.

But the Trooping faeries, the most abundant of them all, were strict in their own manner,

no longer than your pinky finger, they had fierce teeth, and stamina to

fly into your mouth, and run their little sword down your esophagus.

The other chiefs wouldn't cross the line of Lord Vlrassel, who's name means something

violent in his language.

Green in complexion were the Trooping faeries, so they can hide between your plants and

watch you shower.

Fewest in numbers, endangered they are, were the Unseelie, who everyone was afraid of.

Long ago, the civil war between the Seelie, and Un,

many faeries were slaughtered

But the Unsleelie suffered the most, and other clans say

its better this way,

no longer they have to pray,

to keep them safe from bloodthirsty Unseelie,

who desires revenge.

Chahell, a man so young to be the chief, Holder of the Shadow Staff,

is considered a boy amongst the other clans.

But to his own, he is a hero, for his parents had an honorable death,

fighting against their enemy, and Chief Chahell fed them

when they were starving.

But Chahell sits on the throne, feeling the burden of his position on his shoulders,

had it not been for the love of his life, his soon to be wife, Damini, he would have sliced his own throat

centuries ago.

 Now that you know,

the burden, the joy, the sorrow,

of living among faeries in the Skye,

be warned that worse is yet to come,

an ancient rule, the only rule, violated,

sets the barrel rolling

for more.
