I returned to my training camp in California later on that day making a mental note to call my mom and apologize for leaving so early. Gathering my things I got off the plane. Girls filled the airport and Sims even flirted with me but I pushed that aside I wanted Alex but I couldn't have her. I got the rest of my bags and waved at my combat brother who came to pick me up "Aundry sup bro?" I asked as I put my stuff in the back. "Not much brother glad you're back" He says. I climb into the passenger seat. "How was your time in Montana?" His tone was excited. I told him everything that happened even about Alex. He joked "Damn dude going for the dangerous ones". " It ain't funny bro. I also think the dude she's with is abusing her" I hissed. "Shit it sounds like it. I mean it don't give her a reason to go and stab the man but it also does if yah catch what I mean" He waves his right hand dismissively. The rest of the car ride was in silence. I started to hate the silence. He pulled into the base and turned off his head lights "I gotta see the commander and let him know that you're back. You should put your stuff away and get some rest" He stated. "Yeah, thanks bro" With that we both got out of the car and went our separate ways. I went to the bunks and put my stuff away then crawled into bed thinking of ways for after I'm on to get Alex and make her safe forever. Little did I know that three years later something tragic was going to happen to her in her own home.
