Chapter 10: Beginning of the end

My mom is is Germany for two months. Her mom(my grandma) is dying.. And her younger brother is getting married. She keeps sending me money so I can take care of Rachel. I miss her already. It's been two weeks since I have seen her... Five more weeks to go. Basically, I can do anything I want. It just doesn't feel right without her.

I only have one parent left. At least Rachel is enjoying herself without mom. She is the lower deck holding Jake's hand and flirting like never before. I've never seen this side of her. I guess I never get to spend much time with her anymore after I started talking college classes and getting more into swimming. Louis yells,"Who is up for dinner on my boat?" I was still in my bikini so I went and changed back into my clothes and sat at their makeshift plastic table.

I sat next to Niall with an empty seat to my left for Liam. "Hey lovely lady, how are after your swim today." He smirked at the playful comment. I glared at him for his inconsiderate statement. "I'm sorry. That must have been really scary... That was mean of me I'm sorry... Are you and Liam dating?" I was trying to seem cold and hurt during most of his questions but jumped when he asked that last one. " NO! We-we only met yesterday we can't possibly be dating we are just-just friends!" Niall laughs with his trademark laugh and winks." I gotcha Sophie... Hey can I have you number? You seem really cool and I would love to get to k ow you more." "Sure you can have it!" I wrote it down on a napkin. "Sooo how are you liking Tahoe?" "It's fantastic. But even better now that you are here."

Is Niall Horan flirting with me? I guess Liam said that we were just friends... And Niall figured he could flirt with Liam's "friend". Liam comes out finally donning a blazer and slacks. I love British boys and their inclination to dress professional. He sits close next to me and automatically puts his arm around me. Aww and he smells like Abercrombie and Fitch cologne. How perfect is he? I snuggle in closer to Liam to see Niall's smile drop. "So what were you two talking about while I was gone? I hope Niall was hospitable." What were we talking about? All he ever talked about was how lovely I am. "Umm Niall was just saying that he likes Tahoe and thinks that it is pretty... That's all." " I'm glad you like it Niall! I like it too! Especially the company." Niall shrugs and looks at Rachel and Jake. They are walking over to the table holding hands and swinging their arms. I glare at her. Rachel is too young to be jumping into a relationship. But I can't be too protective. When she saw my glare she let go of his hand and sat down across from me. I havent seen Annie or Harry in the longest time... Oh speak of the devil. Annie comes out with her dress ruffed and Harry has his hair messed up.

I'm not judging. Everyone has to hook up with one direction? I guess I'm just not that kind of girl. Louis, Zayn, and Paul come out with sandwiches and sodas. "Who's hungry?" "ME!!!" Niall's hunger is just as I heard it would be. What I didn't expect is for him to flirt with me..
