Chapter 21: Welcome to Sophie Sinclair driving school

We just stood there.

Time was froze.

My adrenaline was flaring.

The rain fell slower and my heart beat faster. This moment couldn't be anymore perfect.

"Ready to go love?" He looked towards the car and I just realized that I have been staring into his... Brown...... Beautiful.... Sparkling. Snap out of it!

"Yeah sure it's already been two and a half hours.. We should get there in time if we leave now." I take the passenger's seat and strap myself into the loser cruiser. I turn on the radio to the same local station as before.

"We have a reported three car pileup going westbound on I-80. This could get ugly ladies and gentlemen. Avoid the freeways wherever possible."

"Shit! We can't make it if we don't take the freeway!I can't leave them at a mall that will be the end of them with all the fans there!" Liam looks at me concerned. "Let me take the wheel." I have a plan.

I jump into the drivers seat and try to remember that time when I was younger when we took this one long street down to Tahoe again. There it is! If I can just cross three lanes of upcoming traffic illegally I can do it. Time to take a leap of faith.

"And we're off!" I go forty miles per hour on the 25mph zone and Liam hangs onto the center divider for dear life. I speed down the street praying that a cop won't catch us and we reach the mall again with five minutes to spare.

After a couple of minutes of waiting, we see a large group of girls walk into the theater. Oh no. This is not good. Walking against the group is the four boys alongside Annie, Rachel, and Jake. The boys have brought their beanies across their faces like ski masks and the girls and Jake are leading them because of their in capability to see. Annie has grabbed Harry's hands and is leading him gently and carefully. I watch in some form of jealousy. Rachel and Jake are left to lead the rest of the dorks back to the van.

"Aye! We made it without getting noticed!" Louis takes off his hat and jumps into the backseat. "So how was your guys' downtime while we went to see the movie?" Louis looks at me and winks and mouths "You're welcome." It was planned? I can't believe them! Did they just decide to....? Ergh what nosy people! Hmm but I guess it paid off. I shrugged my shoulder and smiled as a way of saying thanks. I turn the key to start the car and it makes a burnt noise and smoke beings to come out of the hood. "I promise I didn't do anything!!" Zayn looks at me suspiciously. "Did you drive faster than 65mph in the van?" "Yeah I did we were in a rush to get back." Zayn opens his door with a frustrated face. "Great. Just blooming brill... If you drive the car faster that 65 it burns out and you need to take it to a mechanic! How are we supposed to get back?" Harry pulls out his phone and plays with it a bit. He enlarges the safari view to show us a hotel one block away from here. We just might be saved.
