Baby Shower in Boston

It's been a few weeks since the big blow up at the Gilmore house. Rory has talked to Christopher but Amelia has avoided him as much as possible, or so Lorelai thinks.  Lorelai is keeping a watchful eye on both girls. Rory is overcompensating for her feelings for Jess. Amelia has dedicated herself completely to school. She also made the Varsity Lacrosse team. Amelia likes her Lacrosse friends and they keep her busy when she's not studying. Amelia again is taking Junior classes and is in two classes with Jensen. She also has a class with Liam. Luckily she has a few lacrosse friends as well as her other girlfriends in the classes with Liam so she focuses on them. Jensen is also very focused on school. Lorelai is worried that Amelia is also overcompensating for her feelings for the boy of the week and thinks that she's maybe been too hard on Amelia.

TOWN MEETING
The girls and Luke are walking out of the meeting. Rory and Amelia are laughing when they stop cold.
Rory-Mom I'm going home.

Amelia-I'm going too.

Lorelai-Ok girls, see you at home.... (She turns to Luke) When did Jess get a car?

Luke- Uh a guy at a place

Lorelai-Maybe it was a gift, from someone who doesn't know it's gone.

Luke-Not helpful

Lorelai-Bye
The girls arrive home and Amelia runs upstairs to get back to studying.

Lorelai-"mail call!"

Rory-"what's this"

Lorelai-"bills bills bills"

Rory-"uh oh"

Lorelai-"What"

Rory-"Its an invite to Sherry's baby shower"

Lorelai-"Sherry, sherry, like your dad's Sherry?

Rory-"yeah"

Lorelai-"weird, she had to know we were on the outs"

Rory-"But not sure how much"

Lorelai-"EM, Come here please"

Amelia comes downstairs. She sees the very serious looks on Rory and Lorelai's faces
Amelia-"What's wrong"

Rory-"We got invited to Sherry's baby shower"

Amelia" So"

Lorelai-"Do you think you want to go"

Amelia-"No"

Rory-"Come on Em, it's like our half brother or sister she's carrying"

Amelia-"number one-gross, number two-no"

Lorelai-"I think you should go"

Amelia-"You think what???" Amelia is getting defensive.

Lorelai-"I think it's time that you and Rory put this behind you and get to know Sherry"

Amelia-"You cannot be serious"

Lorelai-"It will be fun, I'll take you and I'll go shopping and I'll pick you up"

Amelia-"Oh my god you are, you are serious"

Rory-"Please Amelia, I don't want to go alone"

Amelia-"Fine. I will go for YOU, not HER, I want that one that record" She points to Lorelai.

Lorelai smiles at Amelia-"Ok great so you're going"

Rory-"we're going"

Amelia gives a half hearted smile and spins on her heels and heads upstairs
