Three hours until Halloween

"Why is it so far to this thing!?" Carlos complained.
"We'd be there by now if someone hadn't made us stop to ransack a Subway" Jane scolded as she glared.
"In my defense, nobody told me they had cold cuts" Harry said. "The only cold cuts they have on the Isle are bodies in damn freezers."
"Stop arguing!" Morgan snapped. "We're almost there, and vampires have better hearing than average humans."
"So what's the plan again?" Jane asked, gripping her baton defensively.
"Infiltrate" Morgan repeated, spinning a solid silver cross in her hand. The cross was spiked on all four ends. "Don't kill unless it's necessary. Or it's Demina. Killing Demina fixes everything."
"What if another bloody vampire was used to poison the water?" Harry asked. "That way killing Demina won't cure everyone like a magical button."
"There were no other vampires anywhere near Auradon except for Demina" Jane recalled. "If she turned someone on the Isle, and somehow used them to poison the water, she still turned them."
"She's right" Morgan confirmed.
"Okay, so kill Demina and everything goes back to normal" Carlos rehashed. "What if we kill someone Demina turned?"
"Then killing her won't bring them back to life, their bodies will just revert to human ones" Morgan said.
"Oh. Got it" Carlos replied.

Two hours until Halloween

"And now we arrive" Carlos nagged. "So much for almost."
"We're here, alright?" Morgan said. "Now there's the challenge of getting past the two guarding the gate."
"Follow me" Harry said as he stood up.
"Harry get-" Carlos began, but Harry was already walking up.
"What a night!" Harry shouted when he got close. The two vampires made a move to attack, but Harry lodged his sword in the stomach of one, then buried his hook in the other's neck. He pulled the sword and hook out of the bodies as they fell.
"Not quite as subtle as I had in mind, dude" Carlos said as he stepped over the bodies.
"They've noticed us anyway" Morgan told him. A vampire ran up beside her, but she smacked it in the face with her silver cross when it got too close. The vampire reeled, hissing as her face burned from contact with the silver.
"Demina's inside" Carlos reminded them. "Odds are she's turned this place into a haunted castle, so she'll be towards the middle."
"Let's go, then" Jane said. The four opened the door and entered.

"Why is it so empty?" Carlos wondered aloud as they walked the halls, making their way towards the center of the facility.
"I have two ideas" Jane offered. "Both equally terrifying."
Carlos tightened his grip. One hand was around the brass rods, which were joined together with the spikes out. The other hand was holding Jane's.
"She'll have most of them out on the streets, looking for us" Morgan explained. "Those who are here, they'll be guarding her. If Mal's with her, then Demina will know everything that we discussed in the room."
"That ain't bodin' too well for us" Harry commented.
"Just… don't kill anybody, especially our friends" Carlos told Harry.
"Except Demina" Jane added.
"Right. Kill Demina" Carlos said.
As they approached the control room, on the uppermost floor, the lights suddenly turned on. Around them stood vampires, dozens of them, in all sorts of colors, ages, and states of fury and bloodlust. In the control room itself, which stood open (for now), Demina sat in a chair, a grin on her face.
"Jane Faree. Carlos de Vil. Harry Hook. Morgan LeFaye" Demina rattled off their names. This got everyone's attention, except for Jane - her attention was grabbed by Audrey's body.
"You're not making it out of here alive, Demina!" Jane shouted.
"Your mistake, child, is thinking that I'm alive currently" Demina told her.
"You've changed" Morgan said, setting her stance. Indeed, Demina had changed since they'd last met - Demina's blue eye had turned red. A sign that she'd be an even more difficult opponent than anticipated.
"So I have, LeFaye" Demina answered. "Minions! I'm through with this chatter. Take them down!"

All at once, as Demina closed her door, everything around Carlos and the others devolved into chaos. Vampires rushed in from all sides. Thankfully, Carlos noticed, their friends were nowhere to be found. As a redheaded woman slashed at Jane, Carlos sprang into action, kicking her legs out from under her and smacking her in the head with his double-sided brass stake.
"Thanks" Jane said. "Look out!"
She pushed him aside and whipped an older man across the face. Both of the attacking vampires hissed, their hands covering the burning skin that had made contact with silver.
"Thank you" Carlos said, which made Jane smile. Off to the side, Harry was having no trouble managing a group that had him surrounded, knocking them all down as they advanced on him. Morgan had her cross in one hand, her rosary in the other, and was rebuffing the strikes of every vampire who dared to get close. All in all, Carlos thought to himself, the fight seemed to be going in their favor.
And then the doors opened.

More vampires rushed in, tipping the odds against the four. Carlos and Jane became separated. Harry was starting to get overrun. Even Morgan's impenetrable defense was starting to crack. Carlos was tackled by a large black man, who began to slam Carlos' head into the metal floor over and over. As Carlos saw his vision go blurry, a large and strong hand grabbed the vampire attacking him and threw him off. Jay then helped Carlos off of the ground.
"Jay!?" Carlos asked, healing faster than even he had anticipated.
"The cavalry arrived" Jay cracked. Sure enough, Jane was getting help from Evie and Ben, Harry was now fighting alongside Mal, and Morgan was back-to-back with Lonnie. Carlos grinned, and together, he and Jay went to town on the surrounding vampires.

As the fighting progressed, Carlos kept an eye on Demina, knowing she'd be joining the fight here soon. Except, at one point, when he looked over, she was gone. He spied an open doorway to the roof, and put two and two together.
"Morgan!" Carlos shouted. Morgan turned from knocking a vampire with her cross.
"Rooftop! Go!"
Morgan got the message, and wasted no time. With Lonnie, Harry, and Mal providing cover, Morgan was able to make it to the stairwell with little conflict. She disappeared from view.
"What are you waiting for?" Jay asked.
"Huh?" Carlos asked in return, confused as he stabbed a vampire in the shoulder before it could get from him to Jane.
"She's gonna need help up there" Jay told him.
"But-"
"We've got this!" Mal assured him nearby. "You three, up there, now!"
Harry wasted no time in following Morgan. Carlos, on the other hand, had someone more important to get to first. He ran over and dove in between Jane and a trio of vampires who had her cornered. Slashing at them with his rods, he got them to retreat enough that he could lead Jane to the rooftop stairwell.
