Bright lights (TamTori School Au)

Rain Droplets

Tamara looked through the windows of the school bus, it had raindrops all over them and yet more rain was still splashing onto them.

Tori had her umbrella out and looked at the rain outside on the windows too.

The bus driver opened the doors then honked notifying them to get off the bus.

Tori was startled a bit and just looked at Tamara "We should leave you know .."

Tamara quickly got her train of thought back "Oh all right lets leave"

They both hopped off the bus and Tori quickly hovered the umbrella over them.

They both watched the rain as if the raindrops were dancing through out the sky , It was kinda peaceful for them to just watch this happen.

Tori wanted to break the silence between her and Tamara but she didn't know how so she just thought of a random sentence.

"...I think rain smells nice .." 

Tori just had this awkward look to her and just looked at Tamara.

Tamara just looked at Tori with a puzzled glare "Um ...I guess it does" 

Tori and Tamara just had a slim time and mins of silence and just looked at eachother and started walking.

Tori felt awkward between her and Tamara again clearly that was a weird subject ...

Tori then looked at the ground and then the sky trying to start another conversation.

"Well ..yeah the rain smells nice but um I think its kinda calm in some way you know?" 

Tamara looked at Tori "Yeah rain is pretty calm .."

Tamara then put on her headphones and took her phone out to scroll through her list of songs.

She decided to put on some Lofi hip hop.

Tori then looked at Tamara and got out her earbuds "Do you mind if I listen too.." Tori didn't want to sound needy or annoying to Tamara but she just wanted to listen with her.

Tamara looked at Tori ..there was one side of her that was pulling her into doing this ......"Fine ..yeah I guess you could"

Fuck she gave in ..

Tori smiled in glee "Thanks!" Tori slowly unplugged Tamara's headphones and plugged in her earbuds.

She offered Tamara an earbud and she took it.

She heard the sweet jazz and hiphop like beat and the sounds that went along with it in the background it was everywhere making everything pop and kinda exciting but calm at the same time.

The rain even suited with this kind of music it was just so ... perfect.

Tori looked up at Tamara "So do you listen to this all the time?"

"No but I do put things like this on and also different songs"

"You know this is kinda nice.."

Tamara looked at her phone "Yeah its cool I guess"

They kept walking and looking around.

Tori held Tamaras hand ...

Tamara "Again with this bullshit ..." she thought as her hand slipped away from Toris.

Tori noticed her hand was slipping away and she sighed and kept walking.

"So what are you gonna do when you get home?"

"Study .."

"Tamara are you serious?"

"Yes I am I have tests.."

"Hey you know you can ease up the homework and hangout with me"

"Naw im good you know"

"Tamara please...."

She was silent and all that was heard was the rain hitting the umbrella and the road and the music in the background.

She then looked into Tori's eyes .... It was slowly pulling her into doing it.

"No,no puppy dog eyes ..please I got a life I need to do"

"But your life is so boring, Do you even enjoy it?"

"...."

"Well do you?" 

"..Yes I do Tori.." she sighed and just looked at her phone again.

Tori looked at Tamara.

They kept walking and finally reached Tamaras house.

Tamara looked at Tori "Well thank you and um ..Here" she muttered and slowly grabbed Tori's earbuds from her phone and gave them to Tori. 

Tori said nothing and just nodded back at Tamara and slowly took the earbuds "Your welcome ..and thanks.." she just looked at Tamara with a just calm expression. She then walked to her house that was one house away from Tamara's and you could see her close her umbrella and walk in.

Tamara then walked to her porch and looked threw her bag and found her house keys , she opened the door and just felt a breeze of air from the AC making Tamara cold but she just walked in and set her bookbag aside and just closed the door.

She walked to the window to check if her parents were home but their was no sign of their car. Tamara just sighed "there never home ..."

Tamara walked up to the pantry. There was different things she could eat but she was kinda cold so she just saw a soup can and just started making soup to warm herself up.

After 12 mins she shut off the stove and the soup was done ,she just poured one bowl and just went up to change upstairs. 

As she was walking upstairs  she saw the note Tori had put in her locker fell out of her jacket.

"Shit.." She walked down and picked the note up and just continues to walk upstairs.

The note was wet from the rain so the writing was barely readable.

Tamara picked the note up "Fuck!" she shouted.

The note was dripping with water almost falling apart.

If she didn't do anything about the note it would fall apart and Tamara would never know what she wrote..

Tamara slowly grabbed the note and took it to her room , the note started ripping slowly and she took it near her fan and put the fan on low speed.

"Shit shit shit " she said as she was looking at the almost torn apart.

She looked at the note again.

"Sigh..  Hopefully I can fix this... It just needs time... " she walked over to her bed and just threw herself onto the bed.

She moved her face towards the note

"...but what if I cant fix it.... "
