Chapter 6: Singing the Plan

We walk back after we talked, Danny look at everyone and nod an apology at Shane. Danny turn at me and hit my arm, "I..I'm sorry..." I said, hissing in pain as I glare at the data-blonde boy. Shane frowned, "No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have judge you and your brother. Cade respect you both so much, I should have never interfere."

I let a small smile at him and sat down on a log with my head down. We stand there, waiting for Optimus to come. My body shiver when I felt eyes on me.

My eyes sneak a look to see Bumblebee looking at me with a curious look. I look back down and bit my lip. My cheek were burning up a lot and I had to hide it from the light of the fire.

"Drifter." I look up at Cade.
"You did well, the hacking. You use the public street lights?"
I look surprised but I silently nod.

A lot of the times, this voice talk weird but I gotten use to it.
"I'm proud of you."
I made a proud look at him.

Danny pull down my hoodie and pull my head in his arm, rubbing it.
"You, Eye-patch? You're going to get in jail for this if you continue to help us!" Danny said, laughing.
"Oh come man! Let me go, Four-Leafer!" Danny laughs.

I try to pull his arm away from me but he had a strong grip. A few more seconds, He lets go and pat my messy hair. I felt a sneeze came out and I fell backward. I fell on my back with my legs sticking out and groan.
"Shit.." I mumble. Danny laughs, grabbing my hand and pull me up.

"You got a sneezing problem there, kid." Tessa said, I coughed. I felt the eyes still looking at me so I try to look away.
"If you don't mind if I ask," I nod for Tessa to continue, "What is up with the nicknames?"

"I call Danny Four-Leafer cause he carry a pin of a four-leaf clover so it stick with him. Eye-patch is because of this."
I point the grey eye patch on my left eyes. I can see Cade was going to ask something else until I heard Optimus's footsteps not so far from us.

"So, there's been no sign of any others?"
"Nada." Hound call out
"We are all that's left." Drift said.

"They're picking us off, one by one." Crosshairs said.
"We're the pathetic, dirty foursome. And you make five." Hound said.
I look at the stars, but quickly look away as Shane spoke, "So that's our best-case scenario? Autobot witness protection?"

I slide down on the floor and pull my legs to my chest.
"Hey, Speed Racer, you're welcome to leave anytime." Cade call out. I put my face on my knee, here we go again.

"Well, for the record, Superdad, I'm not hiding with you. Im hiding out with that big guy." Shane pointed to Prime.
"Sensei, with your fate unknown, Bumblebee has held command, despite his complete and total lack of anything resembling warrior discipline."

Bumblebee roll his eyes and starts to stand up.
"He's like a child." Drift continues, Bumblebee stomps towards him.
"This child is--about to kick your ass." Bumblebee said as he walk towards him.

"Aww, I think he is copying you. It's cute." Danny whispered in my ears as he coos.
My eyes widen and my cheek blush in embarrassment, my hand reach over my shoulder and grab Danny's nose. I pull him towards the ground, making him fall forward.

"He brings us shame." Drift continued more. Bumblebee kick his sword and start fight with him.
"Cage fight." Hound said.
"Smartass." Drift said as he pick up his sword.

Cade grab my and Danny's arm as he drag us away from the fight as Shane and Tessa did the same. Danny laughs at the sight, I guess he love fights.
"What's the matter with them." Tessa said to Cade. Drift throw Bee on the floor and put the sword under his neck.
"Am I the lone sage who sees through this puppy-dog eyes act? It's beneath you." Drift said, Bee look at Danny to see he almost point at me until I elbow his stomach.
