😳13 : The REVELATION

"So now.." Benny started letting out a sigh as he was still seated on his office chair.

I felt like it was the signal for us to talk about the 'revelation' or whatever thing was that, so I stood from the couch I was sitting and transferred to the chair across Benny's desk.

I was nervous but I pretended I wasn't. Act professionally cause a bitch a while ago told you you don't look like a professional one or deserve to be a PA to a "JLo". Oh yeah, Leah. She left already at around 10 and now it's past 11 and I still got no progress here. I just waited for either Benny or Jennifer to speak up.

Benny was getting some papers on the drawers. Jen was busy on her phone. I was tapping on my lap while busy getting nervous and thinking what would be the outcome after this.

"So!", Benny had startled me in that one.

"Speak for yourself, young lady."

God I shouldn't be slow right now. I need this job back. "I want to come back and work for Je-uh Miss Lopez again."

"We're hiring you back!" Jennifer snapped making me jump off a little from my chair.

Wait, did I hear it right? Am i not being paranoid again?

"All you have to do is to sign on this again," Benny handed me a pen and some papers. "Be sure you now read it before signing it. You know how to read, aren't you?"

"Of course I know how to read. But.." I trailed off. "But?" I looked at both of them. Trying to read the expression on their faces. But they seem so perfectly fine, like they're not upset or something and that surprised me even more.

"You are not upset with me?" I asked.

"Why would we?" Jen asked looking like completely nothing happened weeks ago. Benny had a questioning look on his face too.

"You know what happened last time?" I tried to remind them in case they have forgotten cause they seem they really do. "I quitted without proper resigning stuffs and like that. And I was..I was being impolite. And who the heck am I to return here like I did nothing wrong and ask you to take me back. Oh gosh, my apologies to you Mr. Medina and Miss Lopez." Lol I sounded like a stupid emotional freak.
"It's just.. Uhm, I'm really a BIG fan of yours and I realized this is a very big opportunity. I'll take whatever consequences there are. And I will learn to handle your attitude. I will be better this time. Just let me be you PA again please, I'll do everything."

They looked at each other. Then Benny spoke up, "Prepare yourself Miss Nicolas."

"For what?"

"Congratulations you passed the test." JLo said in a professional tone.

"Passed the what?! Oh my god here we go again guys. Explain it clearly, you know I'm so slow."

"You just passed the test to become Jennifer Lopez's personal assistant, welcome!" Benny said making me more confused.

"Congrats to me yay! But why I passed a test I didn't even take? Spill it. This story is getting thrilling and suspenseful, this was supposed to be humor."

"Okay baby," JLo started. "What you've witnessed about me last time while you were working for me was all acted out."

"Well you're an actress after all."

"I'm not kidding but thanks. Explain it Ben."

"We sort of hire Personal Assistants for Jennifer, it's not that serious though. We choose among fans."

"It's like a game?" I said jokingly.

"Yes. But we don't just select random fans immediately. We study and investigate first."
