Bucky Barnes- Strange Magic

Just to let anyone reading know, this song is from the movie, Strange Magic, this imagines a high school!au as well.

Caitlyn sighed, watching the popular of the highschool finally get the dance they wanted, the spring fairy dance. It was only Autumn, but I guess you gotta plan. She headed to class, pushing past James Buchanan 'Bucky' Barnes.

She got to class, sitting beside her sister, Sharon Carter. Sharon was dating Steve, Bucky's best friend. Both of them knew that she had a crush on James Buchanan 'Bucky' Barnes, the thing was, though, was that she was a junior while he was senior.

Weeks had passed, to a few days before the dance, Caitlyn was getting her dress. Her wings span out her hands when she put her arms out, but they would rest on her back unless she personally extended them. Bucky was with Steve and Sharon, talking about the dance.

"She hates me, Sharon, I'll never be able to ask her out," Bucky said, his hands running through his hair.

Sharon put her hand on his shoulder. "Bucky, she's had a crush on you since she started going here."

Steve nodded in agreement. "She wouldn't stop talking about you."

Bucky sat down, looking up at them. "Fine, let's see."

The spring dance was finally here, Caitlyn, Steve, and Sharon entered the school with their outfits on. Caitlyn's wings were extended out, the silk a shade of red and blue. Bucky watched from the staircase, leading up to the second floor, a soft smile on his face as he walked over.

Caitlyn instantly looked up at him. "James, how are you?"

Bucky smiled wider. "Great, you look beautiful, Caitlyn."

She giggled softly, and when Bucky offered his arm to her, she wrapped her arm with his. "Thank you."

He smiled. "Anytime beautiful."

She smiled and leaned on him, softly. Steve and Sharon watched from a distance as they went to grab a few drinks.

Music started playing, making Caitlyn and Bucky smile. Steve's friend, Natasha, was the DJ and just had to play it.

Caitlyn and Bucky started dancing, humming the beat until the lyrics started, then they both started singing.

(Caitlyn is the female, Bucky is the male. Also, way to lazy to put lyrics down.)

Steve and Sharon watched in astonishment. As the two were singing, Bucky and Caitlyn were slowly spreading apart. Caitlyn's friend, Wanda, was making sure the two had lifted in the air while singing.

While in the air, Bucky still had his hand in Caitlyn's so both would be safe, the two rising slowly until being slowly lowered. They landed on the ground and started dancing again, as the song ended, Bucky dipped Caitlyn softly kissing her.

Caitlyn kissed back, smiling softly into it. The whole room clapped, thinking it was planned.

The rest of the night went perfectly well.
