Sara's POVI snapped out of my thoughts when I heard the door bell go off to signal that someone had entered the cafe.
I looked up to see who had entered and saw a woman wearing all black stood at the door looking around the small cafe.
The woman then looked my way locking eyes with me. As she stared at me with such an intense gaze it made me want to sink as far back into my seat as possible and blend into the cushions. The woman was looking at me for what seemed like forever, I honestly thought she was just going to stand there staring all day till she started walking my way, I started to panic and avoided eye contact, looking at the napkin beside my hand, finding it oddly interesting at that moment.
I was lost in thought just gazing at the napkin when suddenly the seat in front of me screeched, I looked up and was met with chapped red stained lips, which formed into a crooked smirk flashing their lipstick stained teeth. I looked up and stared into her eyes with confusion but also a hint of fear.
The mysterious woman finally broke the intense stare, by turning her head left and right, looking around the room as if she was making sure no one was listening or even there, So I took this as an opportunity to scan her over. The mysterious woman didn't really have anything intriguing about her, she was a simple woman wearing all black with a long black beaded cloak, and fiery red hair, the only intriguing thing about her was the pagan star tattooed on her right hand with some hieroglyphics written around it.
I looked at the tattoo very much intrigued by what the hieroglyphics meant. I would've stared at her tattoo for hours if the woman didn't clear her throat, forcing me to break my focus and look back into her deep brown eyes. She smirked at me yet again, and went to say something, I just sat there and stared blankly at her, from the corner of my eye I noticed a black silhouette move fast past the table and chairs knocking a few chairs over and straight out the door, My heart stopped and a terrible feeling started forming the pit of my stomach so I apologised to the woman and got up as fast as lightening and left the cafe, leaving my cappuccino behind, 'god I wish I took the cappuccino it's bloody freezing out here!' I thought to myself clutching my jacket closer to my shaking figure as I tried to follow the dark figure but it was too fast and disappeared, I finally turned around ready to head back to the cafe, when I re-entered the cafe the woman was still sat there, 'how odd' I thought as I walked over and sat in front of her again, with a deep sigh i took a sip of my delicious yet slightly cold cappuccino, I kept my gaze away from her for a while till I felt her eyes burning holes into me, I looked up at her in annoyance as to why you still here, I was going to say something till she started chanting, I looked deeper into her brown eyes almost as if I was in a trance as I kept staring I noticed her eyes starting to turn a deep purple, panic shook through my entire body, and I shook my head, I was about to get up and bolt out the cafe for the second time that night if only the woman wasn't now stood up, leaning over the table in her hands and stood directly in front of the only exit I had from this booth.
The woman continued to chant, I kept listening to chant while being lost in her eyes everything went silent, I could hear my own heart beat, then a ringing sounded through my ears and suddenly a terrible brain shattering pain ran through my head I honestly believed my head would explode from the immense pain, I squeezed my eyes shut and gripped my head, and whimpered, I opened my eyes and looked around in hopes the cashier noticed my cries of pain, but she was cleaning the coffee machine like nothing was happening, something was happening but everyone seemed to be acting as if nothing was, it was like I was trapped in a bubble where no one can hear my cries for help the chanting became louder and louder actually sound like it was in my head I felt like I was going to pass out from the pain, It felt like the chanting was going on for hours, till a stone hit the window causing a little crack, the woman stopped chanting and shot her head in the direction of the window, I dropped my head in my hands, clutching it for dear life, to try and stop the pain, tears streaming down my rosey red cheeks, I finally had the strength to look up at the woman who could've killed me but to my surprise she stood there frozen in her spot face and body swarmed with fear, what could possible scare this woman, that's when I saw at the corner of my bright red eyes, peering through the window at the woman from a dark figure, the same dark figure I ran after before. I dropped my head into my hands again as a huge migraine came down on me like a ton of bricks.I looked from the corner of my eye yet again and saw the woman smirk her disgusting smirk at me again and bolted out of the cafe, the shadow figure following close behind her.
Luca's POV
When Sara ran away from me to the cafe after I told her the secret that has been kept from her, her whole life about who is she is and where she came from, I decided to follow her, I paced after her and stood by a lamppost once she entered the cafe I whipped my phone out of my pocket and dialled Georgina's number she was the leader of their coven and most importantly Sara's grandmother, as I waited till she answered I noticed a dark figure walk Into the cafe, I thought nothing of it as it was probably a Pedestrian. Georgina finally answered the call after 4 rings. She muttered an hello through the phone which snapped me out of my trance, I rang her to tell her about what happened today, with bumping into Sara and watching the cafe. "I found your granddaughter Georgina Sara is in New York" I heard a cheer and a grateful thank you rang through the phone she asked me where she was in New York and is she safe to which I replied "yes Georgina she's in a cafe on pine street, and I believe she is, except with everyone knowing who she is she won't be for long" Georgina sighed and asked 'has anyone entered the cafe after Sara' I said "yes but i didn't see who it was, I'll go into the cafe and keep a close eye on her" I heard a quiet thank you then the line went dead.
I headed toward the cafe and watched in the shadows, I noticed that the woman who came into the cafe, was sat with Sara probably a friend. That's when Sara saw me I couldn't risk being seen, so I bolted out the door, not knowing Sara followed me till I heard her face pacing heart rate, I hid round a corner until she gave up and trudge back to the cafe, I sped to a corner of the building so I can see through the window, she was sat at and got another call it was Georgina I told her, I have my eye on Sara but the woman she's with seems a bit off, and that I didn't trust her. Suddenly Georgia boomed " BRING HER TO ME NOW!" Down the phone, I moved the phone from my ear and rubbed it, that really hurt my ear drum. I put the phone back to my ear and went to speak but the line went dead again.
I stared at my phone in disbelief, not believing she hung up on me.
After staring at my phone in shock for a few seconds till I decided to put it back in my pocket.
I looked up once my phone was securely in my pocket and saw the woman wearing black talking to Sara but Sara didn't look very well she looked in pain, that when I noticed the deep purple colour of her eyes, I panicked oh no I knew why she was hurting Sara she's after the royal and after all Sara is the most powerful royal you'll ever meet, she just doesn't know it yet.
