Thirty years later

Riseki smiled at the young and training Guild members of the thieves guild. Silver laced the woman's hair as she stood. For a sick 63 year old woman, she was really making her way around. Using her title as Guild Master to keep her mind busy from her recent loss.

Riseki Shadow-Walker was a dumner elf. And elves had a longer life span than most. Allowing them to look rather healthy no matter their age. She'd been lost and devastated ever since her husband, Brynjolf, died. It wasn't old age, actually. Nobody knows exactly what killed him. Some kind of illness. He got really sick, and soon fell asleep... and never woke up. She feels that her time is coming soon... Very soon.

Later that night, late in the Nightingale Hall. Her son Pelod sits in a chair next to her bed. "Pelod, I feel myself growing sicker," She frowned at him. "Mother, you'll be fine. I'll- I'll find a cure," Pelod frowned. "No, Nocturnal calls to me. It's time I go to Evergloam. It's time I'm reunited with your father. I miss him so much."

With a shaky hand, she gives him a paper. "Mother, you don't-," "Silence, Pelod. I don't have much time," She interrupted, "Give that to Delvin. The letter, entails what I want for the Guild. My final request. Everything I own goes to you," She smiled. "Mother, you don't have to do this," He said, "There is a way to help you. I just know it." "We mustn't defy Nocturnal. It's my turn to go. This world no longer needs me, Pelod. It needs you," She answered.

Her eyes drifted shut a moment, then she opened them again and looked at him. "Take this necklace," She said pointing to the one around her neck. The one she couldn't bear to part with after Brynjolf's death. Pelod gently took the necklace from his mother. "It belonged to your grandmother, on your father's side. He gave it to me as a gift when we were together. I want you to have it, and when you find someone that you love as much as I loved your father, do not hesitate to give it to them," Riseki smiled.

Pelod couldn't help the tears that rushed down his cheeks. "Don't cry, Pelod. I knew that my time would come, and one day... yours will too," She said caressing her sons cheek. "I love you, Pelod. My son. I will always be proud of you," She smiled, then her eyes shut tight, never to open again.

Deep in the immortal realm of the Evergloam. A beautiful young dunmer woman with ruby red eyes wore a beautiful dress as she looked around. Then her eyes met with a man that she cared dearly for. And next to him was a lovely dunmer woman with stunning purple eyes. She ran over and hugged her parents with such joy that a child would experience.

Then there was a tap on her shoulder, and she quickly turned around. Her eyes meeting with her lost love. Waiting for her. Waiting to hold her, as much as she waited to hold him. The two kissed each other as though they hadn't seen one another in a long time, which was the case... for her.

The two watched over their son. Guiding him to greatness. Guiding him to keep the Guild going at its full potential. To keep it running for years to come. They guided their son to protect Skyrim from the dragons once he found out he was Dragonborn. And they helped him to resist a thief's temptation...
