Jo was sat in her office, her lunch untouched, enjoying a rare quiet moment to relive what had been the most wonderful weekend with Paul. Finding him waiting for her to return from work on Friday had been amazing. She'd been feeling so down and he had known exactly how to help her. It had proved to her  with no doubt just how much he cared for her. She picked her phone, her decision about Christmas already made.

"Hello Paul's phone."

"Hi Paul's phone, it's Jo's phone."

"Hello sweetheart, how are you? This is a nice surpise! I thought you'd be making sure your little monsters were eating all their lunch!"

Jo laughed. "I've sneaked off to my office for a bit of peace so I could ring you. It's last day before the holidays so everything is more relaxed than usual!"

He chuckled. "How long will you give it before someone needs you?"

"Don't  tempt fate!" she laughed, "Anyway, I'm ringing to say that if your invitation still stands, I would love to spend Christmas with you."

"Oh Jo, that's fantastic!" Joanne smiled as she heard the excitment she'd felt being echoed ion Paul's voice. " Bring Martha too if it's too short a notice to board her somewhere."

"Thanks Paul. I'm really excited now!"

Paul could hear the excitement in her  voice. "What about the charity do I've been invited to," he asked.

"My only concern there woud be what to wear Paul. I don't want to let you down?" She replied after a pause, "I don't think even Helena's wardrobe could help me there."

"We could sort you out an appropriate dress here in London, my treat." he offered.

"Would there be time for that though? With the holidays I mean?"

"The name McCartney would make that happen Jo, no problem."

"I thought you hated that?" she teased

"I do, but SOMETIMES it proves very useful! So, will you come?"

"I get the feeling you won't let me say no, so yes I willl. Thank you Paul. Look I'd better go. I need my lunch before I brave my 'monsters' as you call them."

"No problem. Jo, I cant wait! The kids will be made up. They're dying to meet you! Speak soon sweetheart! I love you!"

"I love you Paul" she whispered to herself as she turned off her phone. Jo thought about meeting Paul's family. It seemed daunting.

"I would say day dreaming with a grin like that are definate symptoms that someone has a new man."

Jo looked up to find the headteacher smiling at her. "Kiss and tell Johnson."

Jo laughed but shook her head. "I have met someone Debbie," she confessed, "but it's early days so no, no details, sorry!"

Debbie gave her a quick hug. "If someone can make you look so happy so quickly then he must be special. I hope it works out for you Jo."

Jo grinned. She stood up and went to make sure the 'monsters' were eating their dinner.
