The Video

Alex's POV

We just got home. It was a long plane ride, Dan made the bleeding stop and he reset my ribs and put this cast thing over them so they wouldn't come out of place again but he also said I needed to take it easy for a couple of weeks so they wouldn't cause me any trouble. A couple of weeks means no basketball. I can't even stand up for more than ten minutes without it hurting a ton and then because of the pain want to take like twenty seven pain killers. I walked to my room and laid down and started to listening to music. I put my head phones on and listened to whatever came on. Of course, it was a Five Seconds of Summer song. I grabbed my phone and went through my playlist and deleted and and all of their songs. I then went to my closet and got all of my shirts that had that band on it and put it in a pile on my bed. I ripped off all of their posters and put then on top of the pile. I texted Skylar and Tori.

To: Toriiiiiii and •Skylar•

Hey can you come over? I need your help with something.

I am the only one home right now and it's winter, a good time for a bond fire.

Sure what is it?

To: Toriiiiiii

Let's just say its a fire. Get Grant and Aaron Lee come with you and I'll go get Bradley.

I grabbed my black Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles pants and a green shirt with a green shirt to match it and my pink TOMS. I walked to Bradley's house and knocked on the door and he came shortly after.

"Woah what happened to you?" he asked pulling my inside.

"Calum Hood is what happened. Hey I'm having a bond fire tonight can you come?" I asked.

"Calum, isn't that the guy from that band? Why did he do this? What did Skylar and Tori do? Why are you having a bond fire tonight when you look like that? I mean not that there is anything wrong with the way you look its just I bet you feel like crap and what not. Can I get you anything? like some tea?" he asked.

"Yes Calum I'd the guy from that band that I now hate. He said I was leading him on And all because Luke liked me and I liked Luke. I wouldn't even give Calum my attention! Skylar and Tori helped Ashton pull him off of me. Luke just watched it. It looked like he wanted to help buy all he did was just stand there and when Calum came up to him he just punched him. And I'm having a bond fire so we can tell you all about our trip. And instead of burning wood we're burning all of the things I own of that band. I would love some tea, thank you," I said. He went to the kitchen and I followed him.

"Sit down I'll get it for you," he said.

"No I'm going to get it. I don't want anybody thinking that just because this happened I can't do things by myself. I mean I can't plat basketball or stand for more that ten minutes or things like that but still," I said. I got my tea and tripped over a pair of Bradley's shoes.

"Oh my God Alex I'm so sorry! Sit down it'll be fine I've got it for you just sit in this chair," he said and held me up one arm around my waist and the other just dangling on his other side.

"No Bradley I'm fine just-" I said and began to get up and he just pushed me back down.

"I said sit. I've got it for you," he said.  "Fine," I mumbled under my breath.

"So tell me more about this bond fire. Who's all coming?" he asked.

"Tori, Skylar, Aaron Lee, Grant, I'm gonna be there, and maybe you," I said picking up an apple and biting it.

"And what did you say you were burning?"

"All of that band's merchandice I own." I said with a smile.

"Don't you think you'll make a mistake by doing that?" he asked giving me my tea.

"What? Of course not why would I?"

"It was one guy. Not the entire band."

"So? what's your point? Luke just stood there and watched, Calum was the one who hit and kicked and slammed my head into things, Ashton was the only one who helped!"

"You made him mad."

"I made him mad? He's the one who knew I was with Luke!"

"I just think that-"

"I don't care what you think! You think you know everything about what happened when you weren't even there!"

"I know. I'm sorry. Hey they posted a video. The name of it is 'This is for Alex'" he said and showed me his phone. Sure enough, it did. I grabbed his phone and sat it on the counter in front of me and clicked play. It was a seven minute long video and it was just of Lucas. The beginning of it was just of him singing some song that I've never heard of. Then in the end it was of him talking.

"Alex, if you're watching this, know I'm sorry. I should have stopped Calum. Look, I love you. I got your letter, the one that said you loved our videos and that you would never meet us. Guess what? What you thought would never happened, it happened! I don't think you ever will forgive me. But, things don't always work out that way. Calum isn't living with us anymore. We all met up and decided to kick him out. Alex I can't sleep. I can't eat. I'm sorry and you need to know that. It was all my fault. Every single bit of it. I'm flying to America for the tour. First city? Miami Florida. If you forgive me, you'll be there. If you don't, then I'll just have to come hunt you down. After all I still have your number and know you didn't block me. That's all I guess. I love you, Alex."

Bradley and I just awkwardly sat there for a few minutes not looking necessarily at each other and not just off into space. Then he broke the silence.

"So that bond fire?" he asked. I suddenly got mad. I had forgave Luke and all it took was a video.

"Its not happening," I said and walked out the door to my house. Skylar and Tori and Grant and Aaron Lee were already there with their bags packed.

"What's this?" I asked looking ag each of them questioningly.

"We saw the video and knew you'd forgive him. We're driving tonight to Miami," Tori said. I opened the door and went to the couch and just laid there. Then got up and went to my room. I re-hung my posters and put all the EPs where they were originally and hung the shirts up. I started packing again. I was happy.
