The group emerged from Gringotts, confused but excited. Or in Hagrid's case, dizzy.

"Would you three mind if I went and sat down for a bit?" Hagrid asked. "Gringotts never ends well for me."

"It's alright," Harry said. "We can probably handle ourselves." Hagrid nodded in thanks and headed off to find a place to sit.

There was an awkward silence between the three, trying to process what just happened. "I guess you don't need to buy us anything," Matthew said awkwardly.

Harry laughed. "I guess not. Who would've thought you had a vault?"

"The cart, apparently," Alfred said. " I almost fell out of that thing when we took that turn!"

"Me too!" Harry agreed. "You would think they would make things more safe, what with magic and everything."

"Maybe the magic community has a more sink-or-swim attitude than the no-maj community."

Harry looked at Alfred, confused. "What's a no-maj?"

Alfred looked confused too. "I'm not sure." He shrugged. "It's just what came out. I was trying to say non magic community, but I said no-maj."

"Maybe it's short for no magic?" Harry asked.

Matthew nodded. "That makes sense." He thought for a moment. "Do you think we might start getting memories back naturally while we're at Hogwarts?"

"Well," Harry started. "You two are obviously from a magic family. Maybe being around all this magic will bring something back." The three had started walking down the street aimlessly.

Alfred shook his head. "I don't know. I'm not getting any memories whatsoever. All I said was no-maj. That could've just been reflexive knowledge that was too deeply ingrained in my head for the memory eraser to catch."

Matthew playfully shoved his twin. "Quit being a downer. We're going to a magic school and being around magic for the first time."

Harry and Alfred glanced at Matthew, confused. "First?" Harry asked.

Matthew rolled his eyes and smiled. "I don't remember magic. Therefore, it's a first. Now what do we need?" He looked at his list.

Alfred tugged his brother's sleeves. "The robe shop is right here," he said, pointing to the building they had stopped in front of.

Matthew looked up and immediately felt nervous. Crap. He forgot he was going to have to talk to people. "Sure," he said. "We'll go here first." He let the other two go in first, so he wouldn't have to be the one doing the talking.

A kind-looking lady greeted them as soon as they walked in. "Hogwarts?" she asked. The trio nodded and she led them to the back. "I'll get you three fitted. Wait here just a moment, please." With that, she left to grab the supplies needed.

There was another boy in the room with them. He had blond hair and sharp features, an air of arrogance around him.

"Hello," he greeted. "You lot for Hogwarts as well?"

"Yes," Harry said, nodding his head.

"My mother and father are out getting my supplies. But I'm going to look at racing brooms. I don't see why first years can't have them." His bored tone bled through his speech. "I'll probably just smuggle one in anyway." He glanced at the three, as if sizing them up. "You got a broom?"

"No," Harry replied.

"Play Quidditch?"

"No," Harry was utterly confused at this point.
