Matthew folded Harry's letters and neatly set them on the top of his trunk before shutting it. "You have everything?" he asked, turning to his brother.
Alfred, who was laying sprawled out on the floor, lifted his hand to give Matthew a thumbs up.
"Still tired?" Matthew asked.
Alfred groaned from from his spot on the floor.
"Me too," Matthew agreed, "but we should get ready to go."
"I'm already packed."
"But you need to get up to get there."
"Why can't I magically teleport there?"
"Because we haven't learned that yet," Matthew stood over his twin, looking down at him. "And we'll never learn how to if you don't get your butt off the floor."
"But the floor is comfy."
Matthew sighed and grabbed Alfred's ankles. "I guess I'm dragging you across London then."
Alfred squeaked when Matthew pulled. "No! Rug burn!"
"Get up then!"
"Never!"
"Then I guess you'll get burned!"
"Fine!" Alfred gave in. "Fine! You win!" Matthew let go of his ankles and Alfred got up sulkily.
Matthew smirked at his twin before grabbing the envelope Hagrid had sent them earlier. "Ready to go?"
Alfred grabbed his trunk and started dragging it to the door. "Sure," he sighed over-dramatically.
The two made their way down the stairs, and were greeted by Tom. "You boys ready for Hogwarts?" he asked, smiling.
"It's too early," Alfred groaned.
"I'm excited," Matthew said.
Tom chuckled. "Well, I'll miss you boys. It'll be pretty boring here without you."
"Well don't get too bored," Alfred said teasingly. "Or else we might come back."
"Oh, I wouldn't mind that at all," Tom said, giving the twins a hug. "Now go on and learn some magic."
"Bye Tom!"
After they exchanged their goodbyes, the twins set off in search of King's Cross Station.
After asking a random person on the street, who looked at their luggage with confusion, they somehow found their way. But once they got there, they discovered a slight complication.
"What do you mean there's no Platform Nine and Three-Quarters?" Alfred huffed. "It says it right on our ticket!"
The porter looked annoyed. "You and your friends think this is such a funny joke, but I have people who have real tickets who need help."
"Friends?" Matthew asked.
"That annoying black haired kid who asked me the exact same question," he glared. "Now if you don't have a real ticket, go home." And with that, he stalked away.
"Would that be Harry?" Matthew asked.
"Probably, if he was just as confused as we are," Alfred shrugged. "Should we look for him?"
Matthew frowned, thinking. "Maybe if we find Platform Nine and Platform Ten, we might figure out where we need to go. And if he isn't there, we can look around."
Alfred nodded. "Alright, but where's Nine and Ten?"
"Uhm," Matthew looked around and spotted a map of the station with all the platforms labeled. "It looks like it's this way." He turned and started walking toward the platforms, Alfred right behind him.
