xMegan's POVx

Whoever has gratitude will be given more, and he or she will have an abundance. Whoever does not have gratitude, even he or she has will be taken from him or her. I squeal, happily. My body shakes with magical thoughts as I watch the written lines shine as the sunlight bows down to them. It looked like daytime has not passed a single second for the past few hours: which was unusual.

It felt like I've been in this household for hours, yet outside looked like a different world. It was sunny outside, as nature angrily glares at me as I am reading a book from MaryGold's home. Yet, inside, it felt colder, chilly. I felt fresh and more tired then I was awhile ago, yet the birds outside looked unbothered by the occurrence.

''I LOVE THE MAGIC! Why does it have to have so much deep reasoning and meaning even when the book isn't that deep itself?" I ask, thoughts pouring into my mind. Kayla looks at me, concerned for my health as well as the page that belonged to the story that I seemed to be digging my nails into. ''I don't know, some things don't have a meaning: even if it pours out itself, which seems fully. But is not.'' She nods towards me, understanding.

I felt thoughtful, and I felt like I needed a pink and yellow aurora to surround me right now. One quote that stands up to me right now would be: Whenever you read a good book, somewhere in the world a door opens to allow in more light. Can you believe that? I felt like pouring myself into the book and allowing it to pour itself to me, another word for that would be: continuing to read the lifelong pages that meant everything and anything to me.

The door creaks open and I immediately shut my book, of course, slipping the bookmark into the page, and to be correct, page 586. Gianni's calm face stares at me, and I look at her in a quiet expression. ''Come to my room. Now.'' A hitch forms in her throat as she manages to catch my attention. I sit up, and my worried glance turns to Kayla. We share a look that meant: ''What in the potter is happening?'' I pull on my white robe and we both rush over to Gianni's room. My eyes land on a specific person in the room that I was totally not expecting.

''Natalie! What in the gods are you doing here?'' I ask her, and my eyebrows furrow together. Gianni shakes her head, dismissing the elf that had just passed the room. She turns her attention back to Natalie. ''Great welcoming gift, Megan. I miss you too!'' Natalie looks up at me with a judging frown. My mouth opens wide and I close it quickly in surprise. ''I really didn't mean it in that way! But what I meant was: how and why did you come here?'' My mouth blabs.

''Long story short: I have no idea. Honestly, the last thing I remember was being at home and eating what was it? Seaweed until everything turned pitch black and when I woke up I was here! It's not a bad thing at all, though. Everyone here has been kind to me and they gave me a home that I am very grateful for, but I'm still clueless to the max.'' She nervously explains, as her eyes continue to dart back and forth to the door and wall. I squint at her, hearing her for the first time.

''But anyways, that's really not the problem right now. We're STUCK here. Like, for eternity. If you haven't noticed, almost ALL of the rooms do not have a window or escape route. I know a couple rooms, in fact, yours, Megan.. has one. It will just not open! Additionally, have you realized that outside, it has not aged a second? It's been HOURS here. So really, we're trapped in a house that ages quickly when outside ages slowly. If we ever make it outside of this house, we could be 1000 years old, and it probably would only past a day outside. It's IMPOSSIBLE to pass away in here!'' Natalie whispers, barking almost.

As my mind goes wandering off, I admit that I have seen no difference outside from when we have barely came in. "How are we going to get out, then?" Kayla asks, her shoulders slouched. Natalie looks down at her feet, and shakes her head. "Thing is: we can't. Even if we tried." She explains, sadly. I can't agree with her; if we could get in, we could get out. I leave the room in a rush, thoughts exploding everywhere. There HAS to be another way to get out of here!

"DINNER!" MaryGold yells from downstairs. All of the doors fly open and everyone rushes out. Fairies, elves, and all of my friends walk out sleepily. I decided to just leave the problem out of my mind for now, I'll come back to it later. We all run down the stairs and enter the kitchen, which smelled amazing. A long wooden table with a bunch of meals down the middle, all sat there, waiting for us. I take a seat, besides Gianni. We both silently take portions of each meal and quietly eat them while everyone else chats.

I stuff a spoon of seaweed soup into my mouth. I'm sure that there's meals for each type of semi animal. Gianni hungrily eats some salmon. I look around but behind me, someone thunders down the stairs. We all stop eating and stare at whoever did. A tall light fairy with jade black eyes looks down at us. I stare at her, and she strolled over to us. "I've heard that we have new guests staying here, eh?" She grins mischievously.

Something felt wrong, I don't know what: but my stomach suddenly ached. Angelina, who was in front of me, suddenly bent over and gagged. And gianni who was besides me, turned pale. What was happening?

"Welcome, I have been hungry for awhile now.. dear ocean semi's." MaryGold's mom wickedly spits.

Oo daymnnnn .
