Jar Dreams

I give Angelina a glance, and we both look at each other in confusion. Our look said "um what?". I bite on my lower lip and MaryGold's mother starts laughing hysterically, as well as the other elves and fairies. "Y-YOU BELIEVED IT! THAT WASー DELIGHTFUL!" (hehe) said MaryGold's mom. My mouth drops down to the negatives and I immediately sigh, relived that she wasn't actually going to murder us! ( imagine happy things swirling around my head )

"T-That, now, that... was gold!" She continues,"Sorry sweethearts, I probably scared you out of your mind!" Her hair mystically flys into a braid to the side and she raises her hand. "Continue your meal, we will chat at dessert." She beams, her eyes twinkling. I silently stare at the huge bowl of seaweed soup in front of me. I kinda just lost my appetite, I think slyly. MaryGold's mother walks around the table and when she reaches Angelina and I, she freezes. "You two smell weird." MaryGold tells us.

"Thanks?" Angelina raises her eyebrow in surprise. MaryGold's mom nods and prances over to the front of the table, besides MaryGold. I release the breath I was holding, and I stuff a spoon into my mouth in disgust. Mm, whatever, this tastes great. I think happily.

"MaryGold will pass over all of the dessert. Just tell the kid what you want mkay? Anyways, we have rules in this house. Let's go over them." MaryGold's mother smiles as everyone else groans,"No no! Don't be so depressing! Okay, first rule: we have 9 meals here, 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, and 3 dinners. This is our first dinner. Second rule: if it is break, you are allowed anywhere in the house BESIDES downstairs! Third rule: Through the bedtimes, and naptimes, be sure to be in bed by then. We will check! If we catch you, you're dead pixie dust."

We all look at each other, terrified to our skulls. MaryGold reaches us while her mom rambles on. "What would you two like?" She asks, politely. I ponder on it, and let Angel go first. "Uh I'll just have salmon with chocolate and sprinkles on it." Angelina grins sheepishly. MaryGold twirls her hands and her order lands on a plate. Angelina stares at her in surprise and digs into the food. "Okay, I'll just get fish eggs with melted white chocolate?" I shrug.

MaryGold smiles and twirls her hand. My plate fills up with my order and I gratefully smile at MaryGold. "Meet me at the library, with your friends. I'm expecting a chat with you." She nods and continues to the next people. I hesitate for a second, but I decided to not let her words worry me, what were we going to talk about? Ahh! Whatever, I'm just going to eat my dessert. It probably will taste badー HOLY DOGGOS! THIS IS AMAZING!

I scoop the last spoonful of fish eggs into my mouth and silently chew as I savor the delicious taste. "Mmmm. This is literally the definition of amazing." I speak as I swallow my food. Angelina smiles at me, and pushes her dirty plate of nothing forward, which meant that she was full. I push mine forward, as well. "Well done! Another dinner, done! Break starts now, you are NOT allowed to be down here! Taaaataaaa~! Go!" MaryGold's mother announces with her cheeks flubbing out wide.

We all scatter around, pushing each other on our way upstairs. All of my friends and I walk to the library. There were some elves in here too, but it wasn't crowded. We all gather around a counter with many flower pots and books, and I silently tap my fingers on the wooden surface. We all silently watch our surroundings. "Why do you think we're not allowed downstairs at break?" Elizabeth asks with such curiosity.

We all turn our heads to Natalie, who was the most experienced in this group. "Mysterious things happen down there at break. I've only had a peak downstairs and it looked like dead town. I don't know why, honestly, maybe it's from all of the dirtyー" Natalie sighs but the library door creaks open and MaryGold comes in. "Err, right.. we'll speak of this later." Gianni shrugs and we all nod in agreement. MaryGold struts over and takes a seat in between Angelina and I.

"Okay, since I trust you guys fairly muchー" She trails on. "Trust us? I'm sorry but you've just met us." I lazily laugh. MaryGold shakes her head. "I only trust you guys because you are the only guests here who didn't complain with their stay here. I'm glad of that! Really. Anyways, I have been keeping this secret for awhile now. Do you know why you're not allowed downstairs?" She winces at the sudden subject being brought up. We all shake our head. That's a coincidence, eh?

"It's because mother does her work downstairs. She captures dreams. The dreams wake up whenever we all finish with our foods. It's because they get hungry and they eat our leftovers." MaryGold explains, using her hands. We all look at each other in surprise. "Capture dreams? Is that, even, possible?" Megan asks with confusion. MaryGold nods, and waves her hand. The wall right behind us slides open and I stare at it with awe. We all stand up, and walk to the entrance. Immediately, I see the dancing bright stars and jars.

We enter the entrance and MaryGold shuts the opening behind us. I look around, as well as the other girls. It was fascinating. There were millions of jars filled with moving lights.

"Jar dreams. They're jar dreams."

Ahhh! Oh my gawddd!!
I've been posting a lot it's pretty overwhelming. I wrote 1050 words for dis chappy! I'm proud.

Ahhh! Nuuuu. I have an exam tomorrow, luckily I studied.

But literally, we have to study EXACTLY where all of the states and oceans and capitals there are in Australia.

I'm stressed ;^;
