Only Human? (Max Thunderman FF)

"Wake up Hazz!", my little Brother Jason whispered in my ear. "No not now...", I mumbled. "But Hazz it's 7.50 o'clock!", he whispered a little bit louder. Eyes wide open I jumped out of bed and yelled: "WHAT? WHY DIDN'T MOM WAKE ME UP?" I heard Jason chuckling: "They aren't at home. They told you yesterday to set an alarm! But you didn't, I guess..." I rolled my eyes and kicked him out my room. I brushed my hair and put a crop top and a skirt on. Then I ran downstairs and searched for Jason. He yelled 'I'm here!' from the door. I took my school bag and rushed with him to school.

*At school*

The teacher of Jason picked him up from the secretariat. I waved him By and walked into the office.

"Uhm Hi. My name's Hazel Collins and I'm new here...", I told her. She looked at me annoyed: "And....?"

"And I don't know where my classroom is.", I completed her sentence. She turned away and made an announcement: "Miss Parker please send a pupil to the secretariat. Miss Parker please."

I smiled at her and got out. I sat down on a chair, nearby the secretariat.

5 Minutes later, a girl around my age showed up. She smiled at me nicely and got in the office. Not even a minute later she came back and stand up in front of me:

"Hey. My name's Phoebe! You have to be Hazel our new pupil?"

"Yeah.", I said smiling. We walked together to our class and talked a bit. Phoebe was actually really kind and she smiled the whole time. As we arrived she stopped and turned to me: "Do you wanna sit beside me?"

"Yes, if it isn't a problem?", I said shyly. She laughed: "Not for me!" Then we entered.

"Aaah Phoebe you're back! And you have to be Hazel!"

I nodded.

"Pupils that's your new classmate Hazel Collins! Do you wanna sit beside Max?", she said pointing her finger to a boy who seemed bored. He actually looked Phoebe alike. I shook my head: "Could I sit beside Phoebe?" Miss Parker looked like she was thinking but then said: "No, I think it's better if you would sit next to Max. I think you'll have a positive influence on him!"

I sighed and walked over to him.

"It's a problem for you?", he asked a little bit sadly.

"No, I mean I know Phoebe better than you but you don't seem that bad.", I tried to cheer him up. He smirked: "I know, cause we're very alike. She's my twin." Wow! I knew they looked very similar, but twins.... Immense.

"Phoebe's very kind.", I said after a while. He looked at me shocked and whispered: "Trust me, she's only in school like that! At home she's a ... drama queen!" I grinned a little. Max was very nice. And he kinda looked hot...

*Max' POV*

She grinned a little and looked away. She was so beautiful. Her blue eyes, her dark blond hair... 'No Max, stop that. You have Tara, and you love her', I warned myself. But, I don't know, I was so confused. I mean I barely know Hazel but she was so kind and gorgeous and funny! Lost in thoughts I found Phoebe staring at me. She shook her head and pointed at Hazel.

"Max? You okay?", Hazel suddenly asked. "Yeah, why?", I tried so sound normal. "Cause you're a little bit pale..."

"I'm fine, thanks for asking.", I said smiling. I turned to the blackboard and ended our talk.

*After School*

*Hazels POV*

My first day was pretty good! I even found friends, Phoebe and Cherry... And kinda Max, too. I ate lunch with him and Phoebe but they didn't talk to each other. It was weird, I mean they're twins? But maybe they've a little fight or something, I don't know. After the last lesson I searched for Jason. Long 10 Minutes later I found him, still sitting in his class. I walked up to him: "Jason? What's wrong?" He looked up to me with watery eyes. Then he jumped up and hugged me: "Hazz, there, here, in class, is a girl, funny and very sweet, but I guess, she doesn't like me...", he softly whispered. Awww his first crush! "It's okay Jason, we talk at home? Okay?" He nodded.

We walked out of school as I found Phoebe and Max standing on the street. "Heeey Hazel, is it okay if we walk with you two? Cause, you know, we are kinda.... neighbors.", Phoebe smiled at me. "AAAAAH OMG FOR SURE!", I squealed. That was so cool! Together we headed home.

"See you tomorrow!", I hugged Phoebe and wanted to turn away, but Max put his arms around my waist and stopped me: "Can I have a hug too?" I turned to him and playfully rolled my eyes: "I guess!" We hugged and I kinda felt so comfortable in his arms... Gosh Hazel! What's wrong with you!? I gulped and went home with Jason.

*Max' POV*

"Max? What are you doing! She's my first normal friend! Stop flirting with her!", Phoebe yelled as we arrived at home. Mom and dad rushed into the living room: "What's going on?" I rolled my eyes and Phoebe explained: "So we have a new pupil in school, called Hazel, and she's so nice and all! But noooo Max have to ruin everything and started flirting with her! You're so annoying Max!"

"Wait wait wait wait! I thought you've a girlfriend Max? What's her name again.... Gothic-Braid? Nope...Ah! Tara! Tara Campbell!", Dad said.

"Yeah I have.... and I love her. I'm sorry Phoebe I'll stop.. And now... Bye!", I said, rushing into my lair.

"You're lying.", Dr. Colosso said. "What?", I turned to him. "You're lying. I don't know if you love Tara, but you definitely like Hazel. A lot." I groaned. He was right...

*Phoebes POV*

"What's the surname of this girl?", my mom asked all of a sudden. "Uhm Hazel Collins?", I said. My parents laughed. "Why're you laughing?", I asked. "They are coming on Friday. For dinner. They introduced themselves and told us they're new, blah blah. And her parents are so nice! I hope Hazel's too."
