Queen Of The Sky

Her crystal blue eyes whisper, promises forbidden.

Her bloodred lips smile, freedom.

Her raven hair flows, a charm.

Her pale skin; perfect, enchanting.

Her silver dress glistens,

With a thousand diamonds.

The golden pattern,

Casting a pale unearthly glow.

She lifts her hands threateningly,

Twirling the clouds in her dainty fingers.

Her engagement ring shines brightly, a once promised future,

From a man who shattered her heart.

In one blinding moment,

Her blue eyes turn black; and her pupils fade to white.

She lifts the clouds slowly,

Slamming them into the cold earth.

As the chaos erupts,

She smiles.

As the fires start,

So does the screaming.

She likes floating down to the flames,

Which warm her frozen body.

The fear, and the flames.

She sees a lone man, gazing at her madness.

"Commendable trick."

"This is no trick! Your world is burning."

"Our world, Princess."

"I am a powerful Queen now! I am no mortal."

And she rose higher, so that only the constellations could touch her.

But still, he watched.

She would not stop this.

He would.

Fiercely roaring for his condemned race, he ran into the unnatural flames.

They scorched his skin, but he didn't die.

He watched his family die,

But the Queens love for the Warrior rendered him untouched by the flames of her hatred.

As She watched her lover sacrifice himself,

The Queen shrieked in pain.

As invisible heat burnt her immortal flesh.

She threw off her white-hot ring, sending it tumbling into a chasm of heartbreak and despair.

Even when the flames consumed his whole land,

He did not perish.

The Queen flew down, taking him.

She threw him to heaven, where he belonged.

Her momentum flew her into the nearest star.

The incandescent Sun was her only doom.

She sacrificed herself for her lover.

The Queen of the Sky, no more.
