I sat with the now stagnant ouija board in front of me. I had just talked to a murderer, but he did say he didn't do it. Who else could it have been then? He had said something about a monster when I found him in the woods, but he seemed to insane to take anything he said too seriously. I sat, thinking, trying to come up with a sane explanation for what I had seen. It could have been me unconsciously moving the planchet, wanting to believe in an afterlife. The questions he asked were so odd and precise. I didn't believe that my head could brew something like that up. Why would he need to know where his body had been put. Did that mean that the thing in the mental hospital wasn't Trenton and just an emotionless husk? I couldn't comprehend what I saw and needed to get it out of my head. I checked the time and saw it was 3:00. Time for me to pick up Carli.

Carli

I saw the time and knew they'd soon be calling my mom. It was 3:05, and I was sitting in the office, legs crossed.

"Do you know what you did young lady?" the principal with the slightly too large of a nose asked. She was sitting down in front of me with a look of disgust plastered on her face. Truthfully, I didn't know what was going on, other than some odd occurrences. First, I was walking out of a class to go to the bathroom, and all the posters on the wall were pulled off the wall. I tried to prove it wasn't me with the camera footage, but they were found destroyed and mangled. Then, after that, a kid was stabbed with a pencil. He said he clearly saw me do it, but it wasn't me. It was just picked up by an invisible forced, and jabbed into his leg.

"No, I don't. I'm in here because you people are too incompetent to realize that a four foot five girl who got her mother's short height could not rip all the posters off a wall and destroy two cameras, which I remind you are at least eight feet in the air, in the matter of fifteen seconds," I told her, not able to stand her idiocy.

"Did you just backtalk the principal young lady? Do you want more detention? I'll give it you, you lit-" she cut off, not wanting to get trouble by cursing at a nine year old. She picked up the phone and dialed my mom's number.

"Mrs. Thomas? Yes, this is Mrs. Alex, your child has already had some disciplinary problems," I stopped listening before she started lying. I watched the time change in silence until I heard my mom walk in.

"Hello Alex, can you maybe elaborate on what she did?" My mom asked, looking at me. She knew the principal had a tendency to lie to make herself happy or look better. She took everything the principal said with a grain of salt.

"Well," the principal started and explained everything I had been accused of as if it were fact. I sat and listened to her explain as if I were the worst person alive, a smile across her face. A creepy grin, exposing her yellowing, crooked teeth.

"Did you really do that Carli? She couldn't, she's not tall enough to do that," my mom said, finding the flaws in her accusations.

"Well, she might not have done that one, but she had to have done this thing. She stabbed a kid in the leg. That's assault. His parents are very upset," she said with a snarl, as if she were an uncaged animal mad at it's prey.

"Do you have any proof?" My mom asked, not able to believe I had done that.

"Well, the kid said she did, and she was- uh- she had to of," the principal said again. She didn't really like me as you can see.

"Why, the kid could have lied?" and at that point, I tuned out. Every once and awhile, they would ask a question and I would kind of answered. I was looking out the window, mesmerized by the girl standing outside the window that looked shockingly like the dead Jasmine.

Carli and I got in the car and she hadn't said a word to me yet.

"You know I don't believe her right? I know it's probably impossible for you to do the first thing she accused you of, and did you even know that kid?" I asked her, but she was still staring at something I couldn't see in front of the school.

"What? Sorry, there's- nevermind," she stuttered out. I looked at her and she was just interested in something that was invisible to me.

"What are you looking at?" I asked her, looking in the direction of her eyes for anything of importance.

"Just looks like someone who- who shouldn't be here," she said, not being divisive and playing the pronoun game.

"Who?" I asked, a wave of wonder washing over me.

"Nobody," she said, a odd scrunching up of her face going over her. Then it was quiet. Quiet until her eyes rolled back into her head and she crawled into the back seat.

"What are you doing?" I asked, not turning my eyes because I'm a law abiding citizen that keeps my eyes on the road. I heard her pick something and I felt the cold metal hit the back of my head.

My body wasn't mine. I couldn't control what I was doing anymore, after Jasmine transformed into a giant monster, that had an elongated face, and distorted features. I tried to tell my mom, but my mouth couldn't move, and neither could I move in general. The monster was suddenly right outside of the car. It's hand reached through the glass, as if it weren't there, and then I was moving. I crawled into the backseat and my mom said something, but I couldn't make it out. Her words sounded distant and muffled, like a garbled mess. My hands picked up the my mom's macbook and slammed her over the head with it. The car started to swerve and go all over the mostly vacant road. I grabbed the wheel and crawled into my mother's lap, and unbuckled her. With strength I knew I didn't have, and threw her into the passenger seat. I took control of the wheel and whatever was controlling me understood that my short body could not reach the pedals.

"Jesus," I muttered unwillingly, and I pulled the seat all the way forward and leaned down. Then I was driving at the age of nine.

I kept driving for what felt like hours, but I knew it had only been around thirty minutes because: a) I can read a clock and b) we passed my house. We passed into thicker woods and into a passageway into the actual woods. My mom started to wake.

My eyes open and I'm in the passenger seat, but I couldn't move. All I saw was Carli driving.

"Carli? What are yo-" I started to ask, but something sort of phased out of her. A giant monster, with an elongated face, which was terrifying. It's fingers touched my chest and I lost control of my body. I pulled out my phone and went through my contacts, and my fingers touched Cayden's name. I pulled the phone to my voice, and my body started talking.

"Cayden? Can you come to the woods I found Trenton at? The directions are on my old phone in the drawer. In Jasmine and my messages. Bring the board in my dresser? Please hurry, he's got us!" The voice sounded liked mine, but I wasn't in control. Before I knew it, we were back in the woods, and Carli and I couldn't leave.
