The embryo's body has nearly doubled in size than when this project originally started, and there have been significant changes that have happened as well.

It's skin has turned a darker shade of grey.
It's eyes went from being all black to now having a viable pupal, closely resembling that of fish.
Those eyes..it feels like they can see right through souls, and no matter what angle your at, it always looks as if it's eyes are following you.
It has a visible head now, it could just be my imagination but..the shape kind of resembles a human skull, only a tad longer from the back.

This begs the question: is this creature intelligent?

Although one other thing that has caught my attention, are the fact that it's sprouting legs, but even though the head resembles a human, the legs however do not.
It's not the fact that it's sprouting legs that worries me, it's the SHAPE of the legs that do.

These types of legs..they resemble that of what a predator would need to chase and wound its prey with its claws.

The others have noticed it too, Trevor even suggested we abandon this project and that it didn't matter if they fired us or whatever, they just don't want anything to do with this anymore.

I asked him
"You knew very well you were going to work on something involving an extraterrestrial, so why are you acting so surprised now?"

He looked at me dead in the eye and said
"I thought they mean it was going to some sort of bacteria from somewhere far away or something! Something small! Not this! I'm sorry, It feels like my mind is being scrambled."

He turned to the creature
"It's those dam eyes! I can't stand walking past it or being near it anymore! I feel immense fear when around it and I hate it."

We were all quiet, none of us could blame him, we all felt it too.

This fear..it's unlike the fear of the dark or monsters under your bed..no this is something entirely else.

That night everyone was getting ready to go bed, I noticed Trevor was still in a state of shock, his eyes were wide open in fear, bags forming under them, Trevor truly looked like his mind was at it's limit.

As much as I hated it, I wanted to take a look at this creature.

It's physique is so strange, the slightly elongated head and ribcage of a human, the large eyes that resemble fish, legs resembling  a Tyrannosaurus rex, and a tail.

The tail was still in a coil like in its embryo stage.
Yet it still hadn't developed any arms or atleast any signs that could have arms, it could be armless.

It had just occurred to me that we hadn't even settled on a name for it yet despite the long time we've spent with it.

Well in my eyes it kind of looks like a t-Rex, so I guess I'll name it Rex, now we have something we can call it.

It seems like Trevor couldn't take it, apparently over night, Trevor drowned himself in the bathtub of his bathroom.
The look of disbelief in his eyes was still present, like he had just the single most horrifying thing his life. Or rather just one eye, as the other one was missing.

We were starting to lose hope down here, maybe if we reported this, they would finally let us out?

When the soldiers came to retrieve the body, I overheard them say something about a scar that wasn't there before but didn't appear until this morning, it was on the back of his head, strange, I definitely don't remember it either.
I decided this was my chance to plead to abandon this project, but as expected they refused.

Here we still were, in some top secret underground lab, with the feeling of madness and fear increasing at an overwhelming rate.
I think I'm finally starting to feel what Trevor felt, he might have just had to be the unlucky one to feel it first.

Rex is starting to grow to be large as an human teenager, and that's while it's curled up in that capsule, which of course is starting to become too small for it, it looks like we have to move it to a new capsule.

While inspecting it up close, I could've sworn I saw something on its tail blink, my mind must extremely tired, but then again, at this point, what's not crazy?
