Chapter 2

Ruby's POV

I make my way through the hallways of the school, Trying to make it to my locker in one piece. The hallway is packed with a lot of students. Nothing like excited students on a Monday morning right? Please, Note the sarcasm

I spot my best friend just beside my locker. She's going through her locker looking for something probably a book.

"Hey girl!" I say just before opening my locker to grab my text book.

"Hey bestie" she replies slamming hers.
"How was your weekend?"

"Not bad." I reply. "So what's this big news that's got you so excited?"

"Oh yeah! So guess who..." just then the warning bell goes off signalling first period.

"Well I guess I'm just gonna have to wait till lunch to find out." I close my locker and we start to walk towards our classes.

We have first and third block before lunch. As we walk in history class we see miss Sophia in front of the class.

I've always thought miss Sophia too what's the word, "hot" for a typical teacher. She's in her early 30's, got that summer body, and I've got to admit her classes are really interesting. With the snarky remarks from the Boys in class and the savage replies. One class I actually look forward to.

We walk over to our seats and wait for everyone else to settle down.

Once miss Sophia is sure the class is in order she commenses with the lesson.

"Today we'll be talking about the second world war and the part Our country played in the war."

We all groaned. I actually don't really like history but because I'll really like to pursue an acting career when I'm older. Did I mention I'm a musician? My mum had me go into music when I was 15. She invested a lot in my music career and and I've become pretty famous ever since being one of the youngest to have a stable music career.

"Ok class so I'm going to need to write a 2 pages long essay on how the war affected our country."

I turn to Alyssa and we both sigh... Why does high school have to be so tough. I really can't wait to get this year over with and graduate.

"You all get to turn on your essays in a week. You can all start now if you like." Miss Sophie says finally.

"Remind me why I take this class again." Alyssa groans

"We'll survive" I reply laughing. And just then the bell goes off.

Alyssa and I make our way to our next class. Second block is definitely going to be biting without her, but at least it's a subject that I actually like. Literature.

I'm at the entrance of the class scanning the room for an empty seat when I spot some empty seats at the corner. I'm just about to move when something or someone abruptly bumps into me almost knocking me over.

I turn to see the most drop dead gorgeous guy I've ever seen in my life. OK, maybe I'm exaggerating a little, but you need to see his eyes so dreamy. But let's not forget this gorgeous guy almost knocked me over.

"Uhm, excuse you? What did you do that for? You could have killed a girl. A simple excuse me would have been sufficient and you need to apologize right now!" And he just stared at me like he'd just met a crazy person for the first time.

"Get over yourself princess" And with that he walks past me.

Yup. You heard right.. He walked away!!! At this point I'm so angry I'm probably redder than a tomato. Well hes dead alright. There is no way in hell I'm letting him get away just like that.

I walk and grab a random kid's water bottle, don't ask me how I even noticed the kid cause I don't know people, walk over to his seat and empty the whole bottle on his face. The look of utter shock on his face gave me the satisfaction I needed. By now the whole class was watching.

"You.. You!!" he screams at me

"Get over yourself pumpkin" I say with a grin.

Just then the literature teacher Mrs. Karen walks in

"What in the world is going in here?" She asks referring to me and the idiot beside me

"Well miss -"

"You know what I don't even wanna know. Take a seat Ruby."

I scan the whole class room and all the seats seem to be taken except for one beside Mr idiot. I groan. Why does my life have to be like this?

I hesitantly take a seat beside him and Mrs. Karen begins the lesson and all I'm thinking is this is going to be a long class.
