Chapter 14

A couple of weeks had passed and so far Danny was getting better at controlling his anger. He had a few moments where he got angry but no one got hurt, well not that I was aware of. I am sat waiting to hear from Luke about the meeting about a nanny for Rosy as Danny has requested, I am very lucky to be allowed to participate in choosing someone. There was a knock at my bedroom door.

"Come in" I called out, and it was Luke coming to collect me.

" Are you ready for the long day of interviews?" Luke asked

"Just about. Will you be sitting in with us?"

"Yes, unless I have been called away to sort some other business out" He smiled

We Headed our way down stairs to Danny's office, mostly in silence as there really wasn't much to say. Once we stopped at the door Luke as always knocked and waited for a response from Danny.

"Come in" Danny shouted, so we did. Danny's office was like a little library. Lots of bookshelves surrounding his desk and seating areas. We walked in and sat down in the corner of the room in the little seating area which had 4 arm chairs and a 3 seater couch all dark brown leather with a little table in the middle. Danny had told me to sit at one end of the couch so he can sit in the middle next to me and Luke had to sit on the end arm chair that was on the other side of me. 

"Did you sleep well my love" Danny asked smiling at me.

"Yes thank you" I replied nicely. Although nearly every night I have been here I have been suffering nightmares but I won't tell him that.

"How many people are we interviewing today?" I asked feeling ready to do something other than be in my room doing nothing. Today was actually a test to see how well I behave, as I have been going crazy with no freedom other than to sleep, I have asked Danny a few times for a little bit of freedom to wonder around the house without waiting to have someone with me all the time, so he suggested that if I can prove to him I can be trusted then he will consider some freedom to roam alone.

"The first lady we are interviewing today is a Mrs Goals" Luke said whilst handing Danny and myself her papers to have a quick read of.

"I see she has experience as a nanny before" Danny examined 

"Yes a few years I believe" Luke replied all professional. There was a knock at the door and Danny called for them to come in. It was Louie the guy who was driving when they brought me here.

"Yes" Danny said waiting for him to respond

"Mrs Goals is here for her interview" Louie responded so Danny gave his orders to show her in. We sat in silence whilst waiting for Louie to bring her in, I was feeling a little nerves myself because my nightmares last night were of how many scenarios I had been through of trying to call for help from these people coming in today and every outcome someone got hurt, so I had to be have and act like a normal happy family, for Rosy's sake. I watched as Danny and Luke stood up and greeted Mrs Goals so I did the same when Danny told her who I was. I didn't say anything, I just shook her hand and smiled a little. She seemed fairly old probably in her 70's, she had shiny grey hair and up in a bun. She was wearing a long grey skirt with a white satin blouse. 

"Well Mrs Goals, I see you have had plenty of experience in being a nanny" 

"Yes Mr Trops, I have had 25 years of looking after some wonderful little angels and I have enjoyed every moment of it" She replied to Danny with so much love in her eyes. Every time she mention her experiences of previous employment you can see in her expressions she loved those children as if they were here own. It then got me thinking will I ever be a mother myself, Will I ever find love like I had with Tom, oh Tom I miss him so much. I started to feel my eyes watering, this isn't good, if Danny sees he might get angry.
