Leena

I saw the fliers as I walked out of the room and snagged one off the wall, before quickly reentering the room. "Mr. Lester?" I called to him. He was in the back room of the class.

"Yeah, I'm back here Leena." He called back, "Is there something you needed?"

"Actually, I was hoping I could talk to you for a moment..." I said as I peered into the back room. He was fixing some kind of wires back there, but that's not what I came to ask.

"Alright, come back here then because I'm kind of busy." He said as some more sparks flew from the wires. He jumped a little in shock. I walked back and sat down, waited until he was done, and then asked,

"Is everything alright Mr. Lester?" I asked as I looked at him. He turned to face me with a puzzled look.

"First off, I hate when people call me Mr. Lester." He groaned softly, "My name is Phil."

"Alright then, Phil, is everything ok?" I said as I looked into his eyes.

"Yeah, it's fine I guess..." He said as he looked over at some wires. He stood up and glanced at me for a moment. He walked over and I could see a tear form in the corner of his eye. "It's... It's fine... Don't worry about me..." He said, starting to walk away.

"Please, Phil... I really want to know if there's something wrong." I said softly. Just then I was pulled into a hug. I stood there, stunned for a few moments. I then decided he needed this and so did I. I wrapped my arms around his small waist and hugged him back. We stood there for awhile before he pulled away. I saw tears streaming down from his eyes as he looked at me with a weak smile.

"Oh I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to--"

"No, it was your fault Leena..." He said softly, wiping away some tears on the shoulder of his flannel shirt. "No no, don't worry about me. It's just..." He said slowly, "it's just, my girlfriend, you know, she just.... I caught her with some other guy and I just couldn't take the pressure. She left and I don't know what to do." He said, as more tears threatened to spill out. I grabbed the box of tissues and handed them to him as he wiped them away.

"Oh, Phil, it's going to be ok." I said, cocking my head to the side a little. "Don't worry, you'll be fine without her. She wasn't worth your time anyways, if she cheated on you, right?" He still cried but he had slowed his breathing for now.

"T-thank you." He stuttered out softly. I hugged him once again and this time his arms wrapped around my waist. He wasn't much taller than me now that I think about it. "Thank you Leena..." He said again.

"No problem." I muttered into the fabric of his shirt. We pulled away and the thing he did next stunned me. He kissed me. On the lips, a full on kiss.

"I'm, so sorry I didn't mean to--" he said when he pulled away.

"No, it's ok." I said, blushing softly pink. We stood there in silence for a moment, staring at each other. Was it wrong that the kiss meant something more to me? Like I felt something happen between us? We weren't that different in age so it wasn't like, illegal or anything... It was special to me and I think he felt the same way.

Suddenly, I heard someone, "Leena?" It was Lonnie... What was I going to tell her? Nothing. I wouldn't tell her and she wouldn't find out. "Leena, I don't know what my classes are..." She said.

"I'd better help her..." I said, still blushing and smiling. He waved me out with a small smile and I could see he blushed a bit too on his paper white cheeks. I walked out and calmed myself down.
