She's just a little girl
He tells her to grow up
She has her head in the clouds
Never feels like she's enoughShe wants more than a fling
He laughs in her face
She knows he'll slowly leave her
She's easy to replace
With weary eyes and tear stained cheeks
She assumes she's just another added to his streaksShe's just a little girl
He says she'll never understand these things
She knows he'll never want her the way she wants him
He tells her not to trust him, but her heart does
Her stomach filled with butterflies
His eyes burn bright with lustShe's just a little girl
She wants to feel the time isn't wasted
He says experience gained, isn't time wasted
She knows he's playing mind games
She feels it in her skin
He's like a puppet master, he pulls on her heart stringsShe's just a little girl
She'll never understand these things
He doesn't want her, but yet she chases him
She doesn't want to play games she knows she'll never win Because to her she's still growing
And has a lot to learn
And to him she's just a fractured little girl.
