No more peace

Kazuto's POV
" Let's go downstairs, I'll make us lunch! " Asuna exclaimed leaning on the doorframe.

" Your sandwiches!? " I asked eyes wide.

" Yep! Just like in Aincrad. "

" Ah " I sighed thinking about the delicious sandwiches.

I followed Asuna down the grand staircase into the kitchen.

" I'll get started on the sandwiches, you can go into the living room and watch TV or play any games we have. I'll call you when their done. "

" Sounds good. Can't wait to have those sandwiches! " I walked to the living room and turned on the TV.

I started flipping through channels to see if anything interesting was on. I found a news channel that had a interesting story on.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT HIT BY A CAR

" This afternoon a high school student was hit by a car. Famous in the popular VR game ggo, this student happen to be a player named Sinon. Her friends are ok but unfortunately she was hit. We'l- "

I shut off the TV and ran to the kitchen.

" Asuna~San, Asada~San's been hit by a car. "

" Oh no! Weren't Rika, Keiko, and Sugu hanging out with her? Are they ok? " Asuna asked worriedly.

" Yeah, it was just Asada~San. " 

Just then I got a call from Rika.

" Kazuto, Asuna! Get down to the hospital Asada~San's been- " I cut Rika off.

" Hit by a car. We know! We're heading there right now, bye. " I hung up quickly, me and Asuna dashed out the door and onto my motorcycle. We put on our helmets and then we were off.

Time skip to the hospital

We ran to the front desk to check in.

" Are you visiting? " The lady at the front desk asked.

" Yes, we're hear to see Shino Asada. " I answered.

" Ah, she's in surgery right now. She was hit pretty bad, it's really a miracle that she survived that hit. Just wait outside of room 206, that's her room. Her others friends are there too. So sorry about the hit. "

" Arigatōgozimashta! " Asuna replied and we took off.

We walked through the halls until we found Rika, Keiko, and Sugu.

" Hey, guys! " Asuna yelled waving down the hall.

" Kazuto~Kun! Asuna~San!! " Keiko (aka Silica) shouted out to us. She had tears in her eyes but a smile on her face.

" Onii~Chan! Asuna~San! " Sugu (aka Lefa) got up and walked towards us. " I'm so glad your here! "

" What happened? " I asked.

" We we're crossing the road when a car came barreling towards us. Asada~San pushes us out of the way and got hit herself. " Sugu said looking down.

" We should have pulled her out of the way with us... " Rika said solemnly.

" Rika~Chan, it wasn't your fault. " Asuna frowned.

Suddenly a nurse came out. Holding a clip board. She wore a plain white dress with 2 pens in the breast pocket, her black hair up in a bun. Her skin pale, and her dark brown eyes looked dull at the moment. She looked younger. maybe 24.

" I have some bad news and good news. The good news is she's alive and her body should be fine after 8 months of healing. The bad news is she's in a coma and had some brain damage. She might now remember somethings and possibly people. Gomen. " The nurse had a sorrowful expression on her face as she bowed to us, like she'd seen this one too many times.

" Excuse me miss? " I walked up to the nurse and lifted her head up. "It's ok. We understand. We'll figure things out, thanks for telling us this. "

" Um, thank you sir. But really this is my job to explain a few more things and so fourth. But really arigato. I don't know if she'll remember you first off so just be ready if that comes... if she does after we let her out we'll have to check up on her and just look out for her more. Miss Shino will have to undergo a few more surgeries unfortunately as well. Gomenasi...

" Nani!? More surgeries? " Rika exclaimed.

" Hai, unfortunately I'm so sorry about this it was a horrible accident. "

" Sorry you have to do this so much. It must be horrible breaking this kind of news to people all the time especially if they don't make it... " Asuna said with a sorrowful expression too.

" It is but I want to help if I can. Breaking news like this just happens to come with the job. " The nurse said mustering a fake smile. " Oh and my name is Naru. You can just call me Naru though, no nurse, miss, San, or Senpai's needed. "

" Thank you M- I mean Naru. We appreciate it. " Keiko smiled softly bowing her head.

" No problem, please if you have any questions at all feel free to ask me anything really. I'll be with Miss Shino for most of this so I have no problem answering any questions about her condition or anything. I must be going now but it was nice meeting you. I'll take my leave. " She did a quick little bow and scurried off. " It's all for him, yeah all for him. Don't doubt your decision Naru, " She mumbled just loud enough for me to hear.

" Who is him? " I wondered.
