Hi this is Baby Minnie! I'm here on behalf the author of this book. She's a bit busy at the moment and wanted this out as soon as possible. I don't have a account Baby Minnie is just my alias. Here are some words from her!
First off I'm so happy people are enjoying this as cheesy as it is. Over 300 reads guys! Wow I never thought this many people would read my writing and I appreciate all the support on this even though I don't update it often. I have lots of stuff going on then I re-check the chapters a lot to make sure I want to publish them. I'm super insecure about stuff so I'm really surprised at how many people have read this and it makes me want to make sure all chapters are at the best of my capability.
Next I wanted to talk a bit about my inspiration for the last chapter "No More Peace". I came up with it while listening to the 'Wings' album from BTS. When I was listening to their singles I realized/remembered most of them are about the struggles they have had in their lives and other things about them. 'No more peace' is the start of this arc. A arc of struggles all the characters will go through starting with Asada. I also just realized it sounds like 'No More Dream'. I'm just going to go over the songs a bit. (A bit? I mean a lot sorry).
'Begin' Jungkook's solo. The first short film,#1. It's about his hyungs, the other members. If you didn't know Jungkook is the 'golden maknae' of the group, the youngest in age. Begin is basically about how when he started BTS his journey sort of began. How they take care of him and how he wants to do the same, how they give him strength to overcome things. When they are hurting it hurts him more then when he is. It's a really sweet and beautiful song that compliments his voice so well and holds a lot of meaning when you look at it from his perspective.
'Lie' this is Jimin's solo. #2. Jimin was in a lie for awhile, behind the scenes he went on a very extreme diet where he didn't eat much to loose weight but it really took a toll on his body. I find that is what 'Lie' is about, how he was pretending (lying) to be fine when he wasn't. His body was more tired after practice because he wasn't eating and he didn't have energy because of that. It was said in an interview that Jin would invite him to eat after practice but he declined because of the diet and the fact that he was so tired and needed to rest after. Jimin now does eat and I'm happy he's found himself. Just some words to Jimin, you are perfect. You don't need to change the army loves you Jimin. Don't do anymore crazy diets either that hurt your body, it hurts us to see you in pain. Your a beautiful wonderful person that doesn't need to change so please don't.
'Stigma' is Taehyung's (V) solo. #3. Stigma is a bit like 'Lie'. I don't feel has as much to do with Tae but maybe his friend. This is just a theory. If you didn't know Tae's close friend that he had known before their debut had committed suicide this year. It's about trying to find yourself, lying to yourself, and just not knowing your identity. Wanting forgiveness, covering scars and feeling you should be punished for it. Punishment meaning maybe death. There's a line that states, " I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry ma brother" like from his friends perspective talking to him say sorry and why he did what he did. This is just a theory but I wanted to say it. None the less Stigma is a great song and Tae sounds great in it.
'First love', Yoongi's (Suga) solo! #4. It's actually pretty cute and sad at the same time. It's about finding your love and passion for something that you leave for a period of time. It's like that special little place in your mind that when your growing up you forget about. For instance a stuffed animal. In this case Yoongi talks about the piano. You can hear the English word a few times through out the rap. The piano in the background just enhances the emotion in the song. Yoongi is very passionate about music and can come off intimidating and a bit scary but he's just a tsundere. He's really soft on the inside, Suga is pronounced like Sugar. He also suffered from depression in the start. A lot of them actually did think about leaving. 'First love', Yoongi's 'First Love' being the piano. He's so good! I now sorta wish I had stayed in piano lessons.
'Reflection' here we have Namjoon's (RM) solo. #5. The titles in all of these are pretty straight forward like this one. It's about reflecting on yourself. Your flaws and perfect imperfections. It has a lot to do about insecurity, like that feeling of "I'm not good enough". Being alone in the dark, not feeling good about yourself. We all have that feeling sometimes so it's really relatable. Just know you shouldn't feel that way though, your perfect in your own skin.
'MAMA' yes, here it is Hoseok's (J-Hope) solo. #6. From the title you can expect that it's about a mother, if you thought that then you are correct. 'MAMA' is about a grown child realizing everything their mother did for them as a child. The struggles she went through and the hardships, their relationship. Like a baby bird spreading its wings leaving home and thinking back on what their mom did for them. It's a heartfelt song that might make your mother cry because mine did when she read the English lyrics sense she doesn't know Korean.
'Awake' is Jin's single. #7. 'Awake' is about the feeling of being imperfect like reflection but it also has to do with your limits and how you may never be able to reach the top. In Jin's case he talks about how he knows he'll never get the spotlight or as much appreciation as the other members. He'll never reach (fly) the top and he expresses that through 'Awake'. Little Note to Jin. You are amazing! You work as hard as the rest and being the oldest you also take care of the other members. You have fans and the rest of the army that supports you to the fullest. We're here and we love you Jin, your appreciated just as much as the other members. You have a beautiful voice and your personality is so unique and wonderful, keep being that crazy handsome weirdo we all love. (Plz give him more lines!)
'Lost' a song that's just the vocalist. It also holds meaning in this arc. It's about losing your way and just traveling down a path not knowing where you are. Then you suddenly find it. There's a line that is, "Jungkook: Lost my way eh, wa-a-a-a-y, oh Jin: Found my way eh, wa-a-a-a-ay, oh Taehyung (V): Lost my way eh, wa-a-a-a-ay, oh Jimin: Found my way eh, wa-a-a-a-ay, oh" In this arc the characters will be lost and need to find their way.
These songs hold a lot of meaning for this arc so go listen to all of them so go listen to them in you haven't already!
