Y/n POV
I was looking around in confusion. Someone had left their bey at the foot of the bey stadium at the park. 'Odd. But this bey looks like Daigo's?!' I was so suprised I did a double take.
Then I spotted him. The edge lord. He was the guy who had cost me my spot at the individual matches because he had cheated. (Let's pretend. After all this is an x reader)
I snatched his bey and stomped over to him. I had no chances to review my life choices.
"This your bey?" I asked, ready to smack him into tomorrow. Which was pretty unlikely, seeing as I was just as short as him.
He turned around, and my face turned red. He wasn't even someone who I'd known for a while. Why the heck was I blushing?
"I don't deserve my bey. It needs someone who'll treat it better than me. Also your face is red." He pointed out.
"So's yours!" I said, it was true.
Suddenly I snapped. "You JERK! You nearly COST me my ticket into the individual matches, and all you can say is 'You don't deserve your bey?' Well, you're right. The only thing you can do is sit here and sulk, and abandon your bey. Listen here buddy, you are gonna take this bey, and you are gonna keep it. Your bey deserves better than you, sure. But it'll be better if you take it, and learn from your mistakes? GOT IT?!"
He flinched, and grabbed his bey. "Thank you."
"For what? All I did was yell at you for five minuetes."
"I'm thanking you for helping me learn to accept what I've done, and get on with my life."
"Whoooaa! I'm not done with you. Ya owe me!" I say, bewildered.
He looks down. "I know nothing I can say will make you forgive me."
"You don't have to say anything. I just want us to battle!" I smile. "You afraid I'm gonna beat ya? I wouldn't be suprised, cause I've got Lightning Leonis!" I say holding out my bey.
He looked down at Doomscisor. "No way! Me and Doomscisor will crush you both to bits!"
"Oh, yeah? Well.."
Me and Daigo went on like this all night. We only got a break when I had to leave.
"D'you go to Beigoma Academy?" I asked.
"Yeah!" Daigo answered.
"See ya tomorrow, then." With a nod, I run back home.
5 months later
Daigo's POV
"Daaaiiiiiiiiigggggoooo!" Y/n's voice was pratically bouncing off walls.
"Yeah." I answer wincing a little at the sound of her amazingly high pitch voice.
"We should do something special today. We are BESTIES after all." Y/n said the word besties like it was some sort of sacred thing.
"I'm actually going to go vistit my little brother." I say.
"That's special!" She smiles. I wanna meet him."
"OK!" I said, happy that she wanted to meet him.

At the hospital
Y/n POV
Daigo had to go use the bathroom, so I was left with Daigo's little brother. "Hi!" I said.
Ryota looked at me. "You're all he talks about, you know!"
"What do you mean?" I asked perplexed.
"He likes you!" He smiles. "And even though I've only known you for 5 seconds, I can see you have a good personality. I like ya too!"
"He l-likes me?!"
"Yea-"
"Likes who?" Daigo walks in.
Ryota looks at me, and I shake my head. "We were talking about my invincibility laser!"
I smile. Because of this little dude, I'm gonna confess!
Daigo's POV.
After going back to my house, Y/n tears through the door and into my room. I follow her in slowly. "Your brother is cuter than you!'
I stare at her. "Um.... Okay, I guess."
The silence is real, for once it looks like Y/n has nothing to say. Finally, she inhales and walks over to me....
