*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
I remember the day we first met like it was yesterday, although it happened four years ago. I remember our first date, our first kiss, our first I love you. I catch myself smiling whenever I think of these moments; the moments that changed my life so much. Sometimes I wonder how different my life would have been if I hadn’t left the house that night, how different everything would be. We went through a lot, but we were so happy. “Don’t ever leave”, she said to me. However, she was the one who left. She left behind all her hopes and dreams. I wish I could wake up with amnesia so I wouldn’t remember how she left me.
I find it hard to sleep knowing that I will wake up without out her pressed up against me. Without her, I have only half a heart. Without her, I am a lost boy. Without her, I am nothing. I just want her back. I miss her. I need her. I love her.

February 1st 2010
It was my friend Harry’s 16th birthday today and he was having a big party. Honestly, I didn’t want to go, but I’d feel bad if I didn’t since he’s one of my closest friends. I decided to wear black skinny jeans and a blue tee shirt with a black hoodie. I put on my vans and left my house. He only lived 2 blocks down and it wasn’t all that cold, so I walked.
I live in a quiet suburban neighborhood. There are a few trees by the road, and very few cars drive. It is very normal and nothing exciting ever happens. 2 months ago the police came and searched the neighbor from two doors down house. It turned out that he grew pot in his basement, and he got arrested. I haven’t heard of him since. Also, last spring the old lady that lived across the street had a heart attack and the paramedics were called. That’s all that had ever happened in the 16 years that I had lived here.
After 7 minutes I finally arrive at Harry’s house. I knocked on his door and he opened it.
“Hey Ash, come on in,” he said as he pulled me into a friendly embrace.
“Hey Harry, how many people are here already?” I ask as I walk towards the basement where the party was taking place. The way Harry decorated it was simple, but effective. It was dark. The only sources of light were the glow sticks and lanterns hanging from the ceiling.
“Just a few so far, there will be way more as the night goes on though” he smiles flashing his dimples before yelling “HEY GUYS ASHTON IS HERE!” over the music. I recognized Niall and Louis. There were 2 more people there that I didn’t know.
After about an hour almost everyone showed up. People were drinking, socializing, singing along with the music. Some were crowded around the snack table, me included. I was kind of bored. Parties really aren’t my thing. I walked over towards the couch that was located under one of two small windows and sat beside Niall.
“What’s up Ni? You enjoying the party?” I ask, attempting to make small talk.
“Yeah, it’s alright. We haven’t talked in a while. What’s new?” He replied before taking a sip of one of the beers that one of Harry’s older friends brought.
We talked for a few minutes before I asked another question.
“Is this everyone that’s going to show up?”
“Nah, we’re still waiting for Liam. He’s bringing his cousin with him. I heard she’s really hot. I can’t wait to see her,” he laughs and takes another sip of his beer before he starts telling some story about something that happened at school. I lean back against the couch and observe the guests. I was too distracted to listen to Niall’s story. I just nodded at the right times so it seemed like I was listening.
