After Garnet arranges Pearl down on the couch, Steven's phone rang harmonically. It was a text from Sarah. Wiping her face, Pearl sniffled and picked up the phone to read the text that she received.
>Sarah -- Hey I'm really sorry for ditching you. Can we talk about this Rose person?
After reading the message Pearl texted back.
>Pearl -- Yes, tomorrow would be splendid.
Pearl began to shake nervously, so Steven leaned over and hugged Pearl, as to help comfort her. Pearl took him upstairs and made sure Steven was comfy in his loft watching Crying Breakfast Friends, and she walked off to the gem door to go to her room.
Entering her room, Pearl summoned swords and Holo-Pearls, practicing swordplay techniques until the next day, hoping that it would go better than what had happened earlier.
Pearl's energy was drained from practicing swordplay, and her eyes looked glassy. Pearl walked out of her room, and left a note to tell the gems where she is and what she is doing. Pearl grabs her leather jacket.
She heads to the beach and sits on the log where the Jamie and Garnet had a talk about love. Pearl looked over the shimmering sea, and sighs and looks down at the sand. Pearl heard footsteps in the sand closing on her, and turned around to see Sarah. Sarah was wearing a black shirt with light blue jeans. "Hey, Pearl," Sarah said softly. Pearl beamed up at her, as Sarah sat down next to Pearl on the log, Pearls eyes begin to swell up with tears.
"So.. Who was Rose?"
"Rose is-no was my leader and I guess I loved her. I just can't get her out of my head, and I don't know how to let go or what to do. I'm stuck," Pearl replied in a small voice.
"Honey, you could have told me that, I understand. You're not the only one who's gone through this." Sarah said, helping Pearl up off of the log. Sarah held Pearl's hand and walked her back to the temple and offering to meet at the Roller Rink the next day to hang out and not think about the past.
