Pearl held Sarah's weak and fragile body close to her own,tears begin to swell in Pearl's eyes. "I can't lose you, Rose" Pearl whispered under her raspy breath. Sarah opens her eyes weakly, and says "Who is Rose, and why have you called me that throughout our entire date". Sarah gets up slowly and stumbled to her motorcycle,and drove away. Pearl tried to follow, but stopped knowing that she had made a mistake.Crying, Pearl collapsed onto the pavement of Fish Stew Pizza, calling for Sarah to come back. After five minutes, Pearl got up and walked sadly back to the Temple.

"Hey P, how was your date with the Mystery Girl," Amethyst asked, before noticing that Pearl was distressed.Pearl ignored her and walked to the Warp Pad, warping to the Strawberry Battlefield. She went to where she first had found Rose's scabbard, and ran away to the closest cliff, perching on the edge.

"Why," Pearl clutched the grass, "why can't I get Rose out of my head? How do I just let go? I thought I was over her." Pearl sniffed and saw that the rest of the crystal gems had warped to the battlefield. She saw Amethyst point upward to her, and Garnet coming up to Pearl, wiping her tears and picking her up, going back to the Warp Pad so they could all go home.
