Sisterhood Empire. Part 1

The sound coming from my mobile phone pierced into the dead silence. It was loud enough to wake me up. 'Selene!' I thought right away and looked at the screen. I was right. The summers warmth had made my heart throbbing, something that Selene felt immediately. 

'What’s going on?' As I was trying to calm her down I saw the time on my watch. I was seriously late. Without wasting another minute I made an excuse to Seline, telling her that I'm on my way -a lie that of course she didn't believe. I stood up and I nervously started to walk up and down the small room to make sure that I hadn't forgotten anything. 

My stuff was ready and the rough time had come. I really loved my aunt and I liked spending time with her during summer, but when it was time for goodbyes I felt really uncomfortable.

When the last bag was finally inside the car, my aunt hugged me teard up. 

'Be careful, sweety...' she whispered. I kissed her on the cheek and smiled. I opened the door of my small white fiat and in couple of minutes I was out of town.

The trees that crossed by me as I drive, seemed enormous and their foliage even bigger. Nature was so pretty, I felt it so close to me. Those trees reminded me of the ones that were right outside our dorms, in the same spot that Selene and I were laying endless hours in the sunny days. Sometimes with the companion of our friends and other times just the two of us, enjoying every moment of the serenity.

After a while I could almost distinguished the building of the academy making its appearance, throughout the peaks of the trees. I start thinking about the very first day of this year and I caught myself being anxious as well exited.  

How it is going to be? Will be there any new students? What about the changes? Will he be there, waiting for me?

When I thought about him, I immediately smiled. It has been nearly two months since the last time I saw him. The camp seemed empty without him.

The horn of another car behind me brought me up again to the real world. Soon I had arrived.

'Laura!' I heard a familiar voice as I got out of the car. It was Marcus.

I was about to speak when he hugged me tightly. My feet were not on the ground anymore and I found a difficulty in breathing inside of his enormous embrace. 

After two full minutes, he lifted my luggage and walked me to my dorm. He left the bags right out of the door and kissed me on the cheek.

'See you at Hall, L!' he winked and heeled away.

I opened the door.

'Selene!' I literally screamed from my enthusiasm.

Selene's bright eyes relaxed me as always. Her hair sparkled above the sunlight as she was approaching me from the window.

I stared the scattered people in the mean campus, walking around, greeting old friends. Everyone seems excited. And why wouldn’t they be? First day of school and everyone was eager to share their summer experiences. 

In a couple of minutes the bell was going to ring and we should all gather in the Great Hall. But I am not in a rash. I am sitting here, completely still, waiting as I stare from outside of the window. I know that in any moment now she will be here. My guesses are three minutes from now, she will enter the dormitories. Or maybe less…

'Selene' I turned and saw her face full of excitement.

She was different from the last time I saw her. Someone else may miss the small changes, but I could see that she now was more tanned than before at the camp. She was also dressed with a beautiful green gown. A present from her aunt, I guessed, cause it looked kind for expensive for our budget.

'Laura! You're late!' I said and jumped from the windowsill where I was sitting.

'Typical!’ she said and gave me a big smile. ‘Shall we? The bell rang and I don't want to be punished from the first day!' she told me, checking herself out, in the mirror.

I walked across the room and stand next to her.

As I saw my figure next to Laura’s, I thought that we looked kind of impressive. I didn’t want to flatter myself but I knew for a fact that we fit into the standards of being interestingly hot. I didn’t have much to say for myself, I thought I was too ordinary, but I believed that Laura seemed impressive. With her long auburn hair full of well shaped curls, blue-grey eyes, and a perfectly lanky silhouette with a natural light tanned skin color. She was a total catch!   

Suddenly she hugged me and draged me away from my thoughts.

'I missed you! I like being with my aunt but everything seems dull when you are not around.' Her strong feelings surprised and overwhelmed me. They burst inside me and now I could understand her without even telling me. Sometimes her emotions were out of control and I couldn’t divide them from mine. Being connected to her like that, I always had the need to help her surpass her pain and fear. Like today in her aunt’s house when she had seen that awful nightmare that she was stuck with, to constantly remind her the day of the accident.

‘Your look so hot!’ Her voice made me jump. ‘Let’s go now.’ She said and winked at me.

She dragged me to the door and as we walked down the corridor I felt someone behind us. I barely had time to pull myself out of the way or else I would be lying down on the floor right now. He was fast though and I didn't make it the second time. He grabbed me abruptly from behind and lifted me up high. He didn't even care for the fact that I was wearing a dress.

'Nate! Put me down, you ba...' I didn’t make finishing my sentence 'cause he was squeezing me too tight.

'I'm gonna diee!' i screamed. And I heard him laughing.

'Put her down, Nate. Everyone thinks that you are killing her!' I was finally down and another guy hugged me right away. He was gentler.

'Mike! When did you come back?' I looked at my two best-friends and smiled.

‘Just now!’ Mike said, gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and run to Laura. Nate was now standing next to me and he was staring.

'What?' I asked him suspiciously.

'You look hot in that dress! Especially with the new haircut!'

I turned towards him and made a grimace of disgust.

'What’s going on my boy? Are there any side effects of the vitamins that you are taking?' I slapped him gently on his face and looked myself in the mirror. ‘But you are right. I defiantly look hot in this dress.’ I gave him a big smile and he continued teasing all the way across the Great Hall.
