"Mom, I need you to say something, anything." I begged my mom who was sitting in a pile of her tears.
"Your dad, was killed during war in Iraq." She stumbled with her words, tears falling in her mouth as she spoke.
"No. You can't be serious." I said while dropping to me knees, tears began to pour out of my eyes.
I felt a hand rest upon my shoulder, I looked over to see cameron, who also had tears falling from his eyes.
"They called me about 10 minutes ago, at first he was stat flighted to the nearest hospital, but by the time they got there, he already had lost too much blood, there was nothing they could do about." My mom sobbed.
Cameron grabbed my hand and squeezed hard.
"It'll be fine." He whispered in my ear.
I manage to wipe my tears away, and get up and help my mom to her feet.
I grabbed one arm and cam grabbed the other.
We walked her over to the couch and sat her down.
She grabbed both me and cameron and kissed us both on the cheeks.
"Thanks you guys." She sniffled.
I leaned down and hugged her, we hugged for the longest time. I never wanted to let go. I can't lose her too.
I released the hug.
"H-have the- they arranged the funeral y-yet?" I stuttered my words, my eyes burning from my tears.
"Yes, it's Friday, we have two days to get things ready." My mom said while blowing her nose into a tissue.
"I need to sleep, and so do you mom." I said while walking to my room.
I noticed Cameron followed behind slowly.
I reached my room and cameron approached me at my bed.
His eyes were red and he had bags underneath his eyes.
"I just lost my second dad." Tears fled his eyes, crashing along the corners of his mouth.
I pulled him into a hug, both of us sobbing.
I went and grabbed two of my dads tshirts, and handed one to cameron and I put one on.
"Here." I said handing cam the shirt.
"Wh- what, why are you giving me th-this?" He questioned.
"When I was sad or didn't feel good my dad would always give me one of his hoodies or shirts, they calmed me down, ya know? Made me feel safe."I said even more tears falling beneath my eyes.
Cam slid his shirt off and put my dad's on.
I grabbed the blanket and lifted it over me and cameron.
We cuddled up, both sobbing, eyes burning, noses turning red.
I smelt my dad's shirt, and felt a connection back with my dad.
Even though I didn't really talk about my dad much, we had a bond that couldn't be broken.
He helped me with a lot of my problems, when everyone else failed me, he was always there, no matter how stupid the problem was, he was always there to listen and help.
I then fount that Cameron had already fallen asleep.
He looked so cute all cuddled up in my dad's shirt.
I wasn't tired so I slipped out of Cameron's arms and went to take a walk.
I walked down stairs to find that my mom also had fallen asleep.
So just in case cam woke up and I wasn't there I wrote him a note with 3 clues to where I am on the back.
I laid the note on the counter and grabbed my shoes and headed out the door.

Casslynn was right, her dad's Tshirt calmed me, made me feel safe for a while.
I took me a little nap, but when I woke up Cass wasn't beside me.
I walked downstairs thinking she probably went downstairs, but all I saw was Mrs. Anderson curled up in a ball, I walked into the kitchen to find a note on the counter.
It read.
- Cameron if you woke up to find me not beside you, it's because I took a walk. On the back of this paper is 3 clues to where I am. Come find me(; -
I flipped the paper over and read the 3 clues.
1. Blankets
2. Hide and seek.
3. Mary had a little lamb.
I thought for a moment and then it clicked. She's at our hide out.
Because we slept on blankets there, hide and seek because it's our hide out and I have to find her and Mary had a little lamb, because that's where I asked her to 'Mary' me.
She was so clever.
I grabbed my shoes and ran out the door.
After a good long sprint, I finally arrived.
"Casslynn?" I yelled out of breath.
"Cameron." She said popping her head out from behind the tree.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I just needed to get out of the house for a while." She answered slipping her hands around my neck.
I leaned down and kissed her, we stayed like that for a good while until I heard a noise.
"Cass, did you hear that?" I asked.
"Here what?" She questioned.
I heard the noise again.
"That." I said while looking at Casslynn who now looked scared.
She stepped back behind me.
"It's okay, it's probably just some animal." I assured her.
And an animal it was, but not a cute furry one, a rude and hurtful one, taylor.
"What are you doing here?" I asked her.
"I followed Casslynn here, your little hide out isn't so hid anymore, is it?" She grinned.
"Just go away, Taylor." Me and Casslynn said at the same time.
"Oh, didn't Casslynn tell you? I told her we weren't finished and I meant it." She said stepping closer, making Cass grip my arm.
"You're not gonna do anything to her." I said stepping forward.
"she needs to step up and finish what she started." She said smirking.
"I didn't start anything with you, Taylor. You started it with me." Casslynn said stepping beside me.
"You stole my boyfriend." Taylor said, a tear running down her face.
She then reached behind her and pulled out a gun from her pocket.
"Now, I don't want to do this." She said pointing the gun at Casslynn.
