Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle trotted companionably alongside each other, the new princess trying to get used to her hooves again. As they walked through the massive front doors of the Friendship Castle, she was also trying to become familiar with the new weight on her back. It felt so strange, like she was constantly carrying something with her. She tried to forget about it as she looked around the stunning castle. Feeling awed, she realized that she had never seen such luxury before.
"This place is so cool!" She remarked, which made Twilight grin.
"I know," she whinnied happily, "I just love it. It took me a little while to get used to all the new space, but I have a few guests sometimes - like my friends, the princesses, and . . . um, my bodyguard." She paused for a slightly awkward moment before adding, "I would love for you to meet my student, Starlight Glimmer."
"You have a student?!" Sunset asked, looking at her in disbelief. She couldn't help but feel shocked. Twilight simply nodded her head and smiled in response as she led Sunset into her new bedroom. A servant sent by Celestia and Luna dumped all of Sunset's boxes onto the floor.
"Wow, this one room is larger than my whole house!" Sunset exclaimed, her turquoise eyes darting around in even more amazement. Twilight giggled, "Well, let's hope that you settle in quickly."
Sunset's lips twitched upwards in a small smile. "I'm sure that I will."
"Come downstairs for dinner after you unpack," Twilight instructed, spreading out one wing to point it towards one of Sunset's boxes. "Tomorrow, I can give you a flying lesson, if you want."
"That would be great," Sunset neighed happily. "Thank you."
"No problem." Twilight started to trot out of the door, but then stopped as she suddenly remembered something. "Oh, and here is one of my old tiaras. I thought that you could wear it to dinner tonight." With that, she levitated a small golden tiara onto Sunset's nightstand. Then, she exited the room, finally leaving Sunset alone.
She looked around her new home once more, and couldn't help but grin to herself. It was perfect - literally out of a dream - but she missed her human friends already. She sighed quietly and started to unpack all of her items. First, she placed a few framed photographs onto her nightstand (using her mouth and hooves because she was too scared to try out her magic yet). Next, she lay out her blankets on her bed, and decided that when she went downstairs, she would store her food in the castle kitchen. She didn't want to go down there yet, because she wanted to stay in her bedroom - it was the most beautiful and largest room that she had ever owned.
Once she had finished unpacking, Sunset focused on the next most important thing: her wings. Twilight said that tomorrow she'd give me a flying lesson. But I don't want to look stupid in front of her. Maybe I can give myself a little flying lesson now.
She stretched out her new wings, gazing at them hesitantly as she shifted from hoof to hoof.

So, she did. Well, she tried. Her wings were extremely shaky and uncoordinated in flight, since she didn't know how to control these new muscles properly. She ended up in an awkward position on the ground every time. Groaning in annoyance, she pictured how embarrassed that she'd be the following day. She expected the same thing to happen again, only this time, in front of Princess Twilight. Anxiety clenched her stomach. What if she injured herself too?
I really need to get used to these new wings, she thought.
