Katrina p.o.v
McKenzie, Lucy, Beverly, and I were all walking close together down almost every isle. We were the only girls in this group so we all thought we should all get to know each other. It was silent at first but then Beverly broke the silence.
"So, what do girls talk about again?" She asks and we just laugh quietly.
"Psh boys, glitter, exedra." Lucy says crossing her arms.
"Well let's just tell old stories in our life." McKenzie suggested. We all agreed and let Beverly begin.
"Okay well, I was once a normal teenage girl, going to high school, getting picked on, rumors flying around about me. Yeah, normal. Then I met these boys that changed my life forever. I had friends finally. Then my dad took me away from them, he was a strange guy, he actually-"
"Ahhhh!!!" I scream accidentally interrupting her.
"What?" McKenzie says in a panic.
"Oh, sorry I just- look there's cameras!" I say excited. I really loved to take pictures when I was younger but that dream slowly died when everyone always denied me taking their picture.
The girl laugh and walk over to where I was standing in the camera isle. I picked up a camera and turned it to McKenzie about to take her picture but her hands fly up and block her face.
"Seriously, McKenzie!" I say.
"What, I don't want my picture taken." She says.
"Fine." I say. I throw the camera strap around my neck and carry it along. It was an old camera. One of those that printed out once you took the picture. What were those called? Polaroids! That's it.
We all continued to walk and Beverly continued her story but I was not completely listening as I was still messing with the camera. I guess they all got tired of walking because they turned around and started going back to where the boys were. I tagged along.
We made it back to where the guys were and I flopped back onto a mattress messing with the camera."What you got there?" Richie asks as he flops on the mattress next to me.
"Just a camera." I say.
"What are you going to do with that?" He asks.
"I'm going to create a cure and save the whole world with it." I say sarcastically. "Duh, I'm going to take pictures with it." I chuckle a bit.
He laughs, "of what?"
I then rise the camera up and point it straight at his face. It doesn't take him long to realize what was happening so he grabs a pillow and hits me with it before I could snap the photo.
"Hey!" I said.
"Don't take a picture of me!" He laughs.
"I'll just wait until your not looking."
He then gives me a glare and I just smile cheekily. "You stalker." He says as he walks away. I laugh to myself. This boy is different. He's different than all the rest. I really feel like I could be really good friends with him. I feel like I could be really good friends with everyone here. I look up from my camera and look at everyone. All having small conversations together, all laughing, smiling. These are the people I want to be around. No negative people, just kids wanting to have fun. I smile to myself and then rise up the camera and snap a photo of everyone. The flash gets all of their attention. They all jump up and look at me.
"Stop that!" They all chant.
I just laugh and roll my eyes.
