Mika gives up. She gives up at trying to escape, she gives up at resisting, she gives up at life. Mika is the unlucky test subject of the people she likes to call Labbies, the scientists who work at this mysterious place. Escape seems to be useless. She'll be turned into the Labbies' toy, the object they will use for testing. But there's hope even among the enemy, and there are lots more who support her, she finds out.
She just can't bring herself to accept help.
