I still believe in fairy tales, even though certain people have told me I've outgrown them.
In the messed up world we live in what's the harm in believing in a little magic?  Faith, hope, trust, and a little bit of pixie dust is all it takes to fly and by George I will follow that second star to the right, straight on until morning until the time I am telling my children the same stories.
I will tell them of the princess whose hair is longer than any rope and I will tell them of the trolls that live under bridges, to scare billy goats.

I will assist them is getting lost in folklore and fiction.
I will not shatter the world they live in, but they will still know what happens if the clock strikes 12, midnight, and they are not home on time.

I will teach them that fairy tales aren't all that they're cracked up to be because sometimes the evil queen gets away with it. And at some point in my children's lives I'm sure they'll think me the evil queen in their stories, but I will still tell them stories, until they're grown, reading on their own, until their silver-tongues are bringing the stories to life themselves. I will continue reading to them as long as I have books on the shelves.
