GRETCHEN's POV:

I kept walking. My knee ached more and more everytime my foot thumped on the ground. It buckled, and it killed me; but I kept walking. I let the tears stream from my face, and it was  burning the scratches on my cheeks and the bridge of my nose.

This is exactly what I worried would happen. I warned Harry that Dylan would probably piss him off, and be threatening. I warned him. I want them to get along. I do! Dylan helped me through my years. Who protected me, loved me- I'd never want anything to come between us.

Oh I knew this was a bad idea. I knew it. I kept my eyes locked on the ground in front of me as I limped down the sidewalks and around corners. My phone's locked in my dufflebag, and my crutches are still in my apartment. When I came up to a red light, I looked behind me. And sure enough, trying to budge his way through a congested sidewalk was Harry- following me. Shouting my name, and running towards me.

Impatiently, I turned the corner, and walked as fast as my legs would allow me to; ignoring the brutal pain in my knee. I broke into what I'd call a jog. It must look weird- a disabled person trying to run down the street. I can't even try to describe how awkward and hurtful the people's facial expressions were- but I ignored it.

I kept running. I ran across the street at a 'WALK' light, running through clumps of people. I'll run until I break down- or until Harry catches me.

"GRETCHEN!" I heard Harry call after me. "GRETCHEN!" he called again, this time more audible. He's catching up to me. I stumbled upon a nearby park- and I definitely recognize it. I remember it from when I was little. Dylan, Zoe and I always used to play here. I remember we even had a hiding spot.

I ran through the gates of the park, past the swings, the monkey bars, and sandboxes. I ran, and then I stumbled. I tripped over my toe, and I went crashing to the ground with a thud. I fell right onto my side, and my ankle twisted. I fell right on my left side, left arm tucked underneath me. I looked back to see if Harry was nearby, but I didn't see him.

I looked down at my knee- the one that's been hurting me. Besides the fact that it was bruised and swollen, it was cut and bloody from my fall. I sat up, and tried to stand. I'd title it an official epic fail. There was no way I'd be able to stand.

All the mothers saw me, and took their children. They all thought I must be some crazy lady, and before I knew it- I was the only one in the park. I was sitting there alone.

With realization that I can't call anyone, I burry my face in my hands. Small tears well my eyes, but I can't cry anymore.

"HARRY." I call frantically, as I search left and right for a long-torso-ed, curly-haired boy. I inhale, and exhale in hyperventalation. "HARRY." I call again, as a figure comes bursting around the corner.
