Chapter Nine
She's Gone

Ben's POV

I don't think Bella did it on purpose. She usually gets angry when someone ticks her off. Wait! She said that Jane insulted her. That's it!

I walked to Mal's dorm room and everyone was there.

"Hey guys" I said.

"Hey"

"I think I know why Bella did it"

"Uh, that witch!" Evie said.

"She usually doesn't get all 'Beast" unless someone as in Jane ticks her off"

"You think Jane pissed her off. She would never do such a thing"

"I'm gonna go to her and apologize"

"Whatever"

I walked to her dorm room to see the door open. That's weird, she usually keeps it locked.

I walked in and only to see five notes with our names on it. I took up the one with my name and read it.

Dear Ben,

Hey Ben, you might still be mad at me. I get that. I'm sorry I spelled Jane if I hadn't said it before. I'm just writing this right now to say I love you. Be with Mal, get married and have gorgeous children. I might not be there to see it since I ran. Foolish, right? I couldn't take the constant stares and insults and that you weren't the big brother that would always comfort me and tell me everything is gonna be okay. I hope you will one day find it in your heart to forgive me.

I need to tell them!

I picked up the others and ran to the dorm.

"Guys, I know you might not like Bella after everything but she left"

"What?"

"She ran away. She's gone. She left something for each of us"

I gave them the letters and sat down, tears brimming from my eyes. I can't believe I did that to her. Instead of helping and comforting her, I just turned away and neglected her.

"I can't believe we did that to her. She's gone because of us"

"It doesn't matter now. She's gone"

"I need to go find her. Who's with me?"

"I am!" Evie said.

"Yeah, I'm going" Jay said.

"Carlos?" I said

"I'll go because you guys are going"

"Fine, I'll go"

"She might be in the USA since she never went to the isle-"

"Actually she has" Carlos said

"What?"

"We went there two times actually"

Okay. This is the first time I'm hearing this.

"We need to know for sure that she's there so we should do some research"

"Okay" They all said.
