Chapter 50. Wrong decisions

Knightly's P.OV

When we arrived at the Halfmoon pack we were shocked to see that the whole pack was in turmoil. The Halfmoon pack looked like a small town which contained houses and what looked like office buildings. The pack was heavily under attack of demons and several houses were already on fire. The women and children were all huddled up together in open air and were screaming their lungs out. I could see by their reaction that this was something they had never experienced before.

My anger started to boil because their alpha should have prepared them for any kind of attack. I huffed and quickly looked around to assess the situation. I could see bodies of werewolves lying on the ground but couldn't make out if they were dead or alive.

I suddenly sensed the alpha in the middle of the pack ground and before making my way to him i yelled through the mind link "Make sure everyone survives". My pack members all yelled "yes, my king" back and i cut off the mind link to rip the leg off the demon who was about to attack me. There were demons everywhere i looked and had to kill some of them to reach the alpha.

A demon was just about to attack the alpha with his sword when i finally arrived at the middle of the pack ground. I could clearly see that the alpha was in a bad shape by the way he was staggering but he still held his ground. When i took a closer look i saw a boy probably fourteen years old standing behind the alpha. The boy was crying and clutching the alpha's shirt.

I immediately realized that the boy was the alpha's son and that the alpha was trying to protect him. I saw the urgency in the matter and snapped the neck of the demon who was trying to stop me from reaching the alpha. I ran as quickly as i could and before the demon could stab the alpha with his sword i tore off the arm in which he held his weapon.

I threw the demon's arm on the ground and growled as loudly as i could. My whole body was emitting my power and i saw everyone around me shake in fear. I then looked at the demon in front of me and ran in full speed at him. I knocked him to the ground and ripped him to pieces.

After i was done with him i puffed out my chest and growled again. Portals started suddenly opening around us and i could see the demons trying to retreat. Seeing that growled in anger and yelled "Kill them all before they escape" through the mind link.

Hearing my order i saw my pack members run to the portals and kill or injure every demon in sight. I too ran in full speed in the direction of a portal to stop the demons but before i could reach one of them angels started appearing around us to seal the portals. I smiled to myself when i sensed Micah close by and took a stand to attack the remaining demons.

I didn't even realize for how long we were fighting because of the adrenaline rush but when i looked around i saw that we had killed all the demons except for one high ranking demon. Jeremy was holding the high ranking demon captive and i smiled when i saw Micah placing binding spells on the high ranking demon.

Jeremy then let the demon go and changed back in to his human form. Luke threw a sweatpants at him and Jeremy quickly put it on. Seeing that i ran to Micah and changed back in to my human form too. When Micah sensed me coming he quickly casted a spell and clothes suddenly appeared on my body.

I smiled at Micah and said "Hi love" then kissed him softly on his lips. While pulling away from him i asked Micah "Where is Kingsley love?" Micah smiled back at me and said "He's at my parents house right now. My mother's with him". I looked startled at Micah because i knew how attacks like these affect Kingsley but seeing my reaction Micah just said "Don't worry Knigh, i masked everything so he doesn't know what's going on and i'll pick him up when we're done here".

Hearing that i couldn't wait to hold my son in my arms again and looked at Jeremy. I then ordered him "Gamma find out how many casualties there were and see to it that the wounded receive the right medical treatment. We don't know how this pack works so it's better to make sure that everyone is healed properly".
