"Mikasa Ackerman," Said Levi.
That meant two things... You were either in first place or you weren't in the top ten at all. Your heart sunk into your chest as you waited for Levi to announce the number one cadet.
"And finally, in first place," Levi once again paused, but this time his eyes flickered to your (e/c) ones. "(Y/n) (L/n). Congratulations, brats... Now it is time to decide what branch you would like to join. If you go to Erwin, then it's the Military Police. Hanji is for the Garrison. Then I am for the Scouting Regiment. But don't think that Erwin and Hanji actually belong to those pigs. We are all Scouts."
Erwin and Hanji chuckled at Levi, nodding in unison. Everyone went to their designated area and you stood still. There was very few at the Scouts. You looked up, looking to the sky while in thought. 'I came in first, huh?... It's raining pretty hard now...' You looked forward, seeing Levi. He motioned you towards him and some of the other cadets who chose to come here. You bit at the inside of your cheek and obliged, walking to him. You tilted your head, as a way of asking 'What?'. His brows furrowed and he looked at your soaked hair. He wasn't as wet as you because of his Scouts cloak, so it amused him to see you so wet. His eyes moved to your bandaged cheek and paused. He pulled his hood farther over his head to avoid the heavy rain and he looked back at you. "Well? What are you joining?" He asked, oddly calm. You took a step towards him and saluted him, not removing your gaze from him. "The Scouts, huh?... Good. Your skills will be needed..." Why was he being so nice? "Tch, but don't get in my way! Got it?" There he was... You nodded and stepped to the side.
Thunder struck a nearby horse stable, startling everyone, including yourself. Erwin rose his voice over the hard rain. "Everyone get inside, now! It's too dangerous right now."
Everyone scattered, bolting towards Headquarters. As some cadets ran by you, a couple shoulder checked you, causing you to fall back on your arse. "Oi, brats! Watch where you're going!" Shouted Levi as he helped you up. Your bandage had come undone, dangling from your face. "I'll take you to get that fixed. Come." He said, waving you towards Headquarters.
You both head towards the building, leaving Erwin and Hanji as they watched the two of you leave together. They looked at each other and smirked a bit, ready to see where this adventure would go.

Levi's knuckles knocked against the door to the infirmary. There was no response so he opened the door, revealing an empty room. Levi sighed, "Just go in, I'll do it for you since the nurse can't even do her job."
You nodded, entering and sitting on a chair. You watched his every move to make sure what he was doing was correct. His hands removed the barely attached bandage that was on your face and threw it away. He then got the gauze ready for placement when you grabbed his wrist. "Tch, what?"
You picked up the bottle of rubbing alcohol and a cotton ball.
"Really?"
You nodded, a serious expression on your face.
He squinted his eyes at you but listened and poured alcohol on the cotton plush, dabbing at your face lightly. You didn't wince this time, you just sat still.
"I'll get you to talk one of these days, brat..." He said, drying the wound and putting the gauze over it. "Just you wait." His expression stoic as he taped the gauze over your cut. When finished he gripped your chin, forcing you to look up at him. "Don't think you're special. Got it? You won't get any special treatment just because you're talented..." You aggressively swiped your head away from his grip, standing and walking away. "I wasn't done!" He shouted.
You rose your middle finger as you walked away, not caring about what that arsehole had to say. You could hear a faint growl in the distance and he stormed towards you, pulling at your shoulder. "I don't allow disrespect... Insubordination like that results in punishment." You pushed him away and glared at him. His face was red, and not a flustered type. It was pure anger... Great, you had done it now. You bolted down the hall, being chased by a sociopath. Pathetic squeals escaped your mouth as you scurried between cadets and others until you saw Hanji and Erwin. You grabbed Erwin, hiding behind him, "W-What in the world are you doing, cadet (L/n)?!" You pointed in the direction of a short man running until he stopped in front of his comrades, anger still in his face. He was infuriated.
"You disrespectful little, brat!" Levi shouted. He grabbed your wrist, pulling you towards him and scooping you up. He threw you over his shoulder and turned before Erwin touched Levi's shoulder.
"Levi, what is the meaning of this?"
"Not now, Erwin. I have to deal with this cadet." He walked off as you looked to the other leaders, silently pleading for help.
"Just listen to him, (Y/n)!" Yelled Hanji.
Erwin shook his head, rubbing his temple. "This has escalated quickly."
"Oh, don't worry Erwin. You know they'll end up liking each other."
"Possibly..." he chuckled softly.

Levi swung what appeared to be his office door open, entering the room. He dropped you on the ground and stood there, arms crossed. His breathing was heavy as if he was calming himself down. "You're going to stay here while I figure out what to do with you." He turned and slammed the door behind him. You froze then looked around, seeing the layout of his office. There was a couch beside his desk so you slowly raised yourself and walked to it, taking a seat. You laid yourself down and watched the ceiling for what felt like forever. It was nightfall and the moonlight shone in through the window as you continued to gaze at the ceiling, though your eyes grew heavy and your breaths became heavier. Before you knew it you were asleep.
The door creaked open, revealing a startled Levi. He was surprised to see a cadet passed out on his couch. He shut his door and shook his head sighing. "Stupid, brat... You get your punishment tomorrow then."
