The morning light had shone through the windows of your room. Sasha, your roommate was already up and ready. She was always up early so she could be the first to eat breakfast, no surprise there.
You sat up but winced lightly at the sensation of your bare feet touching the cold, wood, flooring. Though, you didn't let it phase you. You stood up and got yourself ready for the day ahead of you. You slipped on your boots, tied up your hair, and put on your jacket, followed by you exiting your room.
The Mess hall was full and everyone was at their designated table. You spotted Levi at his, sipping from a glass that you assumed to be tea.
Not wanting to eat much, you grabbed a bagel and sat down between Levi and Petra, happily stealing the gingered-haired girl's spot. She didn't want to make a scene because of you taking her spot beside Levi so she scoffed instead, turning her head away.
Hanji and Erwin looked to you because of Petra's outburst and you smirked. They only smiled in return.
Beside Erwin, who was across from you, was an empty seat. Which would soon be taken considering Eld and Gunther were just arriving. They both snickered to themselves as their eyes met Petra. Eld was the first to open his mouth, "Morning Carrot Top."
"We brought you a snack," said Gunther as he dropped a handful of baby-carrots on her food tray.
Her face heated up in a matter of seconds, followed by her grimacing at you for causing the horrendous nickname. "Shut your dirty mouths! Oo!" She snapped as she left the room. All that could be heard was a faint murmuring from her as she left, "You'll regret this..."

The evening was smooth but you couldn't help but feel a little odd. Eyes had been on you all day. Had someone seen you and Levi the night before? Nothing really happened between the two of you but still, you were in his room.
You were on your way to Levi, speaking of the devil, who had been working in his office. You wanted to make it clear to him that you felt like you were being watched and how it made you a bit uneasy. Sure you were a skilled soldier but anxiety is anxiety.
Your dainty hands knocked on his door as you stood patiently. "Name and business," His voice boomed.
You only provided a name, sure it's not what he wanted but you didn't care. So what your feelings for him were changing but he was an ass still and so were you. Why not make some things a little difficult, huh?
"(Y/n) (L/n)."
There was a pause as if Levi was waiting for more but he must have given in because his door opened, revealing Levi himself.
"Yes, (Y/n)?" His voice asked softly. A bit more softly than you had anticipated because the tone of his voice melted you instantly.
"Uh... I... God, why do you have to do that?!" You burst out. "One minute you're colder than ice and another you're as sweet as ever! Ugh, Levi please make up your damn mind..."
His eyes widened. He was going to retort back but he remembered Mike again.... Don't be a dick...
"I'm sorry, (Y/n)... But please, what is it you need?"
Your arms were crossed as you bit your lip while in thought. "I've been a bit paranoid..."
"Paranoid? Why?" He questioned.
"Well, I don't exactly know. Something just doesn't feel right, Levi. There have been more eyes on me and it's more eyes than usual. I have this strange feeling in my gut and I don't get it often but when I do! I-I..."
"Just shut up and come in here..." He said, embracing you in a hug. "Whatever it is, I'm sure you will be fine. Don't worry."
But you would worry... He doesn't know you like you know you. No one does. Ever since you were younger you were a worrier. Anxiety was your biggest issue that no one took seriously. Sure people worry and get gut feelings but when you did...You really really did.
"Levi, I hate to admit it but... I'm honestly scared something is going to happen here. I don't know if it's to me, to you, or to anyone else but I really feel something." You said.
Levi looked into your eyes and took this opportunity to comfort you and show how you meant to him. He placed a soft kiss on your forehead and walked into the hall with you. "Worry not. I can assure you that is it nothing to be worried about."
You were escorted back to your room by him and you yawned as you settled down... Maybe Levi was right... Was he?
You took the time to undress and get into something comfortable. Pajama shorts, a tank top and you let your hair down. Sitting on your bed, you looked to Sasha who was in a deep slumber. You hoped you would get to that point also, which very well may happen but who knows? You laid down and shut your eyes, trying your best not to worry. Soon enough, you were in a deep slumber.
Levi went to his room where he settled down also. Seeing you so worried scared him and he became a bit paranoid also. But did he have to worry? He was humanities strongest? Surely Levi had nothing to worry about?
But that wasn't the end of it. A door creaked open and a dim light peaked through the opening. Light footsteps made their way across the room to the side of a bed, pausing at the side of someone's body. A hand softly grazed its way across their arms as they laid unconscious. Followed by the hand, a cold, slick, object ran lightly across the person's chest, running its way down to their stomach where it stopped. There was a pause where the object had stopped when force was thrust into the person's gut. There were no movements, besides a grunt, from the body. The intruder lifted the thick blanket and laid it on the body, hiding the blood. They shut the door and left the person to suffer.
~
"Erwin, I haven't seen them all morning." Hanji said, "I'm worried."
Erwin's bushy brows furrowed and he looked at the missing person's soon significant other but they just shrugged, sipping a glass of tea. "I'll go check on them," Erwin said as he stood, running towards their room. He bolted down the halls, checking other rooms on the way there but there were no signs of the person. Erwin eventually reached their room, bursting the door open. Their body was there, laying in bed but Erwin's eyes widened in shock as the blanket soon began turning a deep red. "Oh god. Oh god! Someone call the doctor and nurses! Send help now! Soldier down, soldier down!" He yelled. His voice ran through all of HQ and echoed through the mess hall. Everyone at Hanji's table's eyes widened, including the significant other of the soldier in distress.
The significant other stood, "Please... No!" They yelled as they ran to the room, pausing at the door where they dropped to their knees. "This can't be happening..."

Who did it? Who was attacked? Go ahead and comment your guesses. mwahahaha. The attacker may be an easy one but the victim could be a couple people. But who do you think it could be?
Lmao was it too cheesy of me to try and do mystery in the story? I just wanted to stir it up and make it fun for you all...
