stephanie cooper had an ordinary life, well, if ordinary meant a missing little brother, absent parents, and a 19 year old acting as her guardian. once her youngest brother jack went missing in october 1988, two weeks after his best friend, georgie denbrough, stephanie's life had flipped upside down. after exactly one month of searching for their youngest son, daniel and karen cooper had given up completely and had started to busy themselves with their jobs, resulting in them never being home to care for the one child they still had. as soon as the eldest cooper received news of this, from the nosy neighbor of course, andrew cooper made the decision to leave college and return home to care for his little sister. who, by the way, didn't exactly mind her parents ignoring her, she was quite used to it, being the middle child and all. after a frightening encounter in the bathroom of the local music shop, stephanie finds herself befriending seven other individuals, endangering her life by fighting whatever the hell this creature is, and somehow falling for the trashmouth of the group, richie tozier.
