Before technology, if you noticed someone staring at you, you'd get a little creeped out.

But now, we are mindless drones, technology-brained idiots whose mind turned soup long ago.

In short, it wasn't that uncommon to find yourself "lost in space".

We lost all creativity or wild thought after the technology took over. The Earth is the equivalent to an outtake from "the Walking Dead" minus the dead people.

So when i saw the government official watching me, i wasn't scared because someone was looking at me.

No, I was terrified that it was a government official staring at me.

Nothing good ever comes from being watched by them and who knows, maybe the government wanted to take me in for having individual thought or that i don't own any technology.

As i thought, they moved.

Toward. Me

I grasp the umbrella tighter, looking down at my black galoshes that hugged the cement. I hoped the government official would leave me alone and let me go on with my day but even i knew it was fruitless.

My worries were right as the government worker cleared their throat and grumbled, "Miss, please come with me. You under arrest for being in violation of the 35th amendment of the United states of America. Please remain quiet as I take you into custody where you will be given a lawyer and thrown in jail"

This gathered the attention of many surrounding me and the government worker. The Identical People never stop gazing at their tech for anything.

"W-w-w-what," i stammer whipping my head, searching the ever growing crowd for answers. "W-what is happening?"

The government didn't reply. Instead, they grabbed my arm and dragged me across the street to a building i had never seen nor cared about before.

This building was not identical, i can only assume the people inside aren't, as well.

This was not how I thought today would go
