I'll be posting a bit more as I'm on mobile now. Yay!
It's been a week since your little conversation with Thomas. After that, you'd send little photos of meals you've cooked or places you're at.
His responses were short and rare. Sometimes he'd have time to recount his day's events to you, but often it's a simple 'Going to work, I love you x', or a 'Very tired. Please get enough rest and feed yourself. Good night x'. You learned to cherish each word.
Two days later, the trailer to The Death Cure was released. You watched it over and over again, each time hurting more than the last one.
After the eighth time you stopped yourself to send him a text. It was early in the morning in the US.
'Just saw the trailer. I'm so proud of you, Tommy. Work hard and come home to me soon.'
Three minutes later, he replied with a photo of Kaya and Ki Hong next to each other at a restaurant, laughing. A hand that looked like Rosa's was on Ki Hong's shoulder, but you couldn't see any more faces.
A message followed the photo.
'Taking the day off to celebrate its release. What are you doing right now?'
You took a photo of the stovetop, smiling knowingly. You were cooking his favorite dish for lunch -- pasta.
'Cooking lunch' was the message you attached to the photo.
'I might just miss your cooking even more than I miss you x'
'My cooking misses you too.'
'Will be going to the mountains tomorrow to film more scenes. Won't be able to receive or send anything from there'
'For how long?'
'A couple of days.'
'Well, take care. Enjoy your day off. Send me pictures!'
You thought he went back to eating so you put your phone down, but minutes later, he sent a video. Ki Hong was obviously behind the camera and Thomas was in full view. He was oblivious to the camera directed at him. He was laughing at a story Dylan was telling and Kaya's laugh was very audible -- almost as loud as Dylan's voice.
It took several moments for Thomas to realize his phone wasn't next to his plate. Before he could say anything, Ki Hong spoke up from behind the camera.
"Say something to Y/N, Thomas!"
Thomas' brows furrowed but he was smiling. "What should I say?" He laughed, incredulous.
You rolled your eyes. For someone who got paid for being in front of a camera, Thomas was still very camera shy outside a work environment.
"Oh, I don't know," Ki Hong sounded cutely frustrated. "What're we doing today? Tell her that."
Thomas rolled his eyes. "No."
"He doesn't wanna tell you, Y/N, but we're going to a strip club."
"Bloody hell, Ki. I'll tell her." Dylan, Kaya, and Rosa laughed obnoxiously in the background. "We're going shopping today to buy things to bring home."
"What're you buying Y/N?" Kaya asked excitedly from somewhere.
"Hey, it's a surprise, man. Right, Thomas?" Dylan interrupted. "I'm buying Y/N an American flag shirt."
Ki Hong showed his face then. "Sorry for stealing your loverboy for so long, Y/N. We'll bring him back in one piece, promise. Miss you."
Then the video ended.
You sighed, finishing up the pasta and seating yourself on the table.

'Let's grab coffee. Now' was the text Ava sent you at 3 in the afternoon.
'Be there in five.'
Moments after you sent the text, someone knocked on your door.
Of course, you muttered.
You let Ava in then brushed your hair.
"You shouldn't stay home so much, Y/N. It's not good for you."
"We're going out, aren't we?"
Ava rolled her eyes.
It's been too long since you last spoke to Thomas. You've been sending him texts, photos and videos, but he never replied to anything.
Ava sat you down by the tables outside the cafe. "My treat," she insisted and left before you could protest.
You smiled fondly. The Sangsters had an odd thing about spoiling people they loved. They're giving people.
"Can I have a photo, please?" A girl whispered excitedly from behind you.
You froze. It couldn't be.
"Sure."
It is.
You waited, head spinning. You didn't dare turn around.
Minutes later a hand landed on your shoulder.
You turned around.
"I reckon you want a photo too, miss?"
You squealed in delight, immediately finding his neck where his heat and scent was. His arms held you securely in place.
"You sadist," you whispered against his neck. "You disappeared for days."
"I'm sorry," your insides melted by the sound of his voice. "There was an airport nearby and Wes just decided our plane could pick us up there to our next destination. It was here in Europe. A 24-hour work day. I didn't have time to get back to you."
"God, I missed you." You whimpered.
"You don't have to anymore."
"Big brother." Ava's voice was teasing behind you. You reluctantly let go of him so he could greet his sister.
He pecked her cheek and hugged her tightly.
"You shouldn't leave this one for too long," she gestured to you. "She turns into a cave woman when you do."
