CHAPTER 6
Terrance’s POV
Ding! The pet shop door, where Terrance worked, swung open. Terrance looked up from his phone.
“Good afternoon, welcome to Petzone.” He smiled politely.
“Hey, uh, I want a full-bred pup, but I don’t want to buy one from one of those stupid breeders who are illegal and mistreat their dogs, and I heard you rescue dogs from them.” The man said.
“Yes sir, we do. We have just about any breed I can think of. We also have a few older trained dogs if you’re interested.” Terrance offered. “What breed do you want.”
“I’m looking for a good guard dog, that will be friendly with my friend.” The man said.
“I’m thinking a Pit-bull would be good. They are super fun and friendly when their owner is around, but they growl and act standoffish when their owner is away. That is, if they’re trained right.” Terrance said.
“That sounds perfect. Can I have a look at your currant Pit-bull puppies?” The man asked
“Sure thing. Hold on, let me call one of the employees to the front.” Terrance said.
“JESSICA TO THE FRONT, JESSICA TO THE FRONT PLEASE.” The loud speaker rang out.
A girl with blond curl and sparkling blue eyes walked up.
“Hey Jess, can you show this nice man our Pit-bull puppies.” Terrance asked.
“Oh sure. Uh, Terrance, your shift is up, you can leave if you want. Okay, sure, right this way.” Jessica said to the man, leading the way.
Terrance went to the back of the store and got a bag of live crickets for his pet tarantula, Creeper. When he got back, Rachel, a black-haired, blue-eyed girl was at his place behind the cash register.
“Hey Rachel, wanna hold creeper and feed her the crickets?” He teased, holding up the spider.
“Ah, get that big ugly thing away from me, or I will kill it!” Rachel screeched.
“Oh come on Rach, she don’t bite.” Terrance teased.
“I’ll kill it!” Rachel said grabbing a net.
“Aww Rach, and she ain’t it she’s a she.” Terrance shook his head. “Anyway, ring me up, I’ve got a party to plan.” He said.

Man she is so beautiful. Terrance was thinking the next day, as his eyes were locked on Beth.
“TERRANCE!”
Terrance spun around. “What do you want!” He growled. “Uh, oh, hi Kent, I thought you were somebody else.”
“Yeah, well, when I get done talking to you, you will be mad at me.” Kent said gravely.

Terrance was walking toward the boy’s bathroom, when all the sudden he heard someone laughing hysterically.
Hmmm…That sounds like Beth laughing, I think I’ll go see what’s happening. He thought.
Terrance walked over to a very strange sight: Three girls were on top of Beth, who was laying there laughing like crazy, and then there was Kent’s stupid sister on the floor off to the side.
“What’s happening here?” Terrance asked. “Get off of her.”
Terrance easily pulled the light girls off of Beth, then gently helped her stand up.
“Are you okay?” He asked Beth.
“Of course. Why else would I be almost in tears from laughing so hard?” Beth grinned.
Man, her smile is so pretty. Terrance thought.
“Hey, Beth, would you be interested in a party this Saturday?” He asked.
“Ugh, I have to baby-sit my brothers this Saturday.” Beth groaned.
“Bring them.” Terrance answered.
“Uh, how wild is this party gonna be?” Beth asked a little uncomfortably.
“Let’s just say my parents are gonna be home.” Terrance grinned.
“Alright then, I’ll try to be there.” Beth smiled.
